Allins, RIchmond Rd approx $950 for a H/Reese.
Halls, Mn Nth Rd approx $650 H/duty 3.5 t
I'm bit concerned using an aftermarket, any electical problems eg U-Connect etc, might cause a headache with any g/tee issues.

I think on my contract it was for a h/reese... but I will need to check that. Was happy with the halls towbar on my last car.

Would seem normal to me, remember drag is proportional to the square of speed.

Hope to hear and see it soon (hopefully partner is in car so she hears it in real life - deep down she wants one... she just doesn't know it yet) as she is slowly warming to the idea.... would make for a great weekend drive

After my trip from Sydney to Alice I would say it sounds pretty accurate may be except for the last one. It sounds a tad too high. I was getting 9.4 L/100kms at 130kph. The others sound spot on.

Mum has received an average of 7.7 with a long term speed average of around 100-110km/hr over 770 odd kms, with a fairly aggressive driving style with a good amount of ups/down hills on a stock standard Laredo crd.

I now have 676 km on the speedo, average fuel consumption is showing 7.7 litre per 100. This has been achieved by a combination of city and highway driving, should get over 1100 km from a full tank. These are good figures for a new motor which is not fully run in. I tend to ignore the fuel consumption read outs while driving as it all depends on heaps of factors like Road Surface, Head and Tail wind, Slight rise and fall in the road, Carrying load, Ambient temperature, Tyre pressures, etc etc.
