Congrats TJQLD, If you are 1/2 in love with it as I am with BaaBaaa my CRD Overland then your missus will be a wee bit jealous of the attention your GC will be getting. Post some photos when you get it.

Dealer charged $220.00.... and the 1st place I had to visit was the petrol station to feel up with diesel.... as there was only an 1/8th of a tank
Wow! Disappointing. I got 600 km out of the diesel supplied with the car. Another unexpected bonus!

The CRD Laredo with quadralift, ORII and Mopar bar with p3 controller and seven pin plug was fitted with Cooper AT/3's. here is our progress report:
NEGATIVES:
The usual aircon issues with varying temp controls etc.
No mud flaps. A serious issue for remote travelers.
POSITIVES:
fuel economy with caravan! Varied from 10.5 l/100 From Broken Hill to Menindee (following the Darling down dirt road at leisurely pace) 11.7 from Cameron Corner to Innaminka. 13.00 on the bitumen run 350k to Thargominda at 95-100kph. To date I have traveled 2200 k with the van and averaged 12.1 litre/100k. By way of comparison.... Mate with a Pajero and similar van uses around $40 more fuel every fuel stop, and another with a Landcruiser 80 series ute with no van uses 5 to 10 liters more per fill.

8 speed auto box....Magic! Cannot fault it, always in the right gear at right time. silky smooth changes, usually run economy but paddles are excellent for fine control and braking. ACC works well no issues.

VM Motori motor. Heaps of power, nice growl when asked to respond. Quiet refined high class Euro diesel. The motor has been using a bit more oil than I would have expected. 2 liters in 3000k. It is not an easy motor to check oil levels with.very sensitive to slopes and the dip stick seems to accumulate oil as you withdraw it no matter what. This is making it difficult to get a clear reading.

DUST: With all black trim I thought this would a big issue, but no signs of dust getting past the seals. This is a very tight vehicle.

SUSPENSION: Quadralift worked perfectly and on demand. Excellent for 4'10 wifer to get in and out. Valuable aid when hitching or leveling for overnight camp stops. Works well in OR1, not too stiff. In Aero the ride is first class luxury. The road between and Innaminka and the QLD border was a shocker! As bad as I have experienced with a van. The Old Strezilecky was not much better but the car handled it with ease. No body rattles or squeaks to date. This is going to be one serious remote area tug if Jeep Aust give it the mandatory back-up with servicing and spares.

EVIC gauges: The ability to monitor engine oil temp, transmission temp, and configure the dash to suit is a great aid. I air-down a lot in these areas and the ability to check tyre pressures in transit is reassuring.

RADIO ETC. works well, easy to tune and store stations no issues as yet with exception. I get an intermittent thump from the radio when using AM Channel. Minor issue.Music works via blue tooth phone, SD card and USB iPod.

If the Big Jeep continues to perform in this fashion we will be two very happy little campers!
Hi nariracruisin',
Really good to see such a positive report!
Re the tyres, I presume you are running the passenger version of the A/T3's, not the LT slightly oversize tyres? If so, how did they handle the rough tracks, especially at the lower pressures you say you run? Any punctures or sidewall issues?

Finally I have it.
Just WOW!!!

No tow bar for a few weeks. Waiting for stock parts apparently.
Full tank of petrol to fuel the 5.7 Hemi. So many buttons, it's going to take a while to navigate through it all.

Another word, Sweeeet!!

Nice - same colour as ours. I love DCR.

Wine helps when parked up but playing.

I must say my dealer provided the best of service besides a good deal:
Full tank of diesel
Window tint, rubber mats, towbar, bonnet protector thrown in.
Instant positive response to U-connect problems (waiting on Jeep Aus)
Another plug for Werribee Jeep.

Test drove the new crd here in NZ, what an improvement over my current 2010 GC, fantastic to drive. Ordered an overland and it will be delivered Monday. Interesting I was told the spec was identical to Aussie, same spec sheet and website is the same, did notice though that the LTD I drove had twin tow hooks, salesman said Laredo and LTD have black and overland has chrome.

Yes. Definitely, the plates give it away, vino 42, we love our wine, retirement plan is a winery. I keep going out to admire the JGC.
Next phase, a camper trailer for our 5 year old to experience camping.
