My luck is never that good. I am just praying that it arrives before Dec as I have a holiday planned towing my boat to Tas, ferry is all paid for.
Fingers crossed

When the H/R bar gets fitted they have to remove the rear tow hook. I would like to keep mine on the car, just hope I never have to use it.

Very Happy with my SA dealer ..full tank of premium for my 14 SRT (bunch of flowers for the wife , Mopar cap & Jeep keyring .. Vehicle fully detailed Just waiting for the towbar & Uconnect software update for the climate control .. Very lucky, only had to wait a few days for it! Walked into the showroom on the Friday told one would be in on Monday morning Signed up the next day & picked it up last Friday .., Unbelievable performance & looks great in white with the Goliath wheels .. Will post some photos when I get & install the SRT badge on my front grille!

Salmo, I am here in the background reading and reading. Not wanting to hog all the space. Mixed news re the Uconnect. Was lying low until the dealer had more info because he is "stumped" at the moment.
Had new Uconnect put in. Sat in car and tested everything and everything worked fine. "Temperature 25 degrees" and bingo, the temperature changed. "Navigate to................ and away it worked. Nav also remembered the Home address etc. Phone book appeared with a full listing. Able to ring phone numbers by pressing green phone symbol and asking, "call 744123455" and away everything worked. Heating all round now working fine.....THEN, about an hour later the gremlins got in again. Temperature voice recognition not working. Voice recognition for navigation no longer working. However, I still have the phone book listed. Still able to make voice controlled phone calls. The Nav has memory which I lost last time.
SO WHERE AM I UP TO: Anthony, the service manager recalled that the first time it worked and then stopped the next day. This time, with a new Uconnect put in it all worked for the demo but an hour later started playing up. The new Uconnect appears to have fixed half of the problems. The heating is working correctly but I am not confident it will remain doing so....I just get a feeling it is trying to spit the dummy again too. Anthony is stumped and perplexed. I think the problem is in the VR button on the steering wheel this time and not the Uconnect. I am going to ring Anthony tomorrow to propose swapping the steering wheel over with this new uconnect to see what happens. Will keep all posted....it's just that I don't have conclusive news to post. BUT LET ME RE-ITERATE for those contemplating purchasing an MY14 JGC.....DO IT. Even with my problems they are still minor with this stunningly good car. Unfortunately though it is a car that needs an hour or two in the "simulator".

Geez Webber, that sucks big time.. I am agreeing with you it sounds like another issue a loose connection either in the steering wheel or similar. Good luck mate.

That would be a pretty good deal if you can stand to be without the car for that long. I am still undecided about putting one on. The GC is such a sexy car, I think it would spoil it with one on. Then having roo cooking in the radiator isn't real sexy either.

Go to ecb.com.au (east coast Bullbars) and have l look at theirs, they will have a bar to fit our 14's very soon. The Jeep dealerships up this way have them listed as a recommended supplier. There are some good photo's of their bars fitted to the GC 2012 / 13. I was informed that they can fit a bar basically while you wait. When my wife and I go touring next year, this is the Bar I am going to fit.

The good news is that I have the Mopar Tow bar fitted and the rear tow hook is still in place, so there is no need to remove it.
While talking about tow bars, the only thing I noticed about mine is it has a very light coat of paint? on it, small amount of surface rust showing already, so will have to give it a coat of black killrust. Must keep up appearances hey...
