Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Yeah snuke my old boys had pajeros since 1994 for work and so we have grown up with them. Found them to be tough as nails and love them to bits - oldies bought a 2012 platinum DID last year, but compared to the jeep for a 60-80k vehicle they really trail. I basically took the missus to the jeep dealer as half a joke - first test drive and we were both sold.

For some silly silly reason we have gone with black for the jeep. It will get some scratches but to me thats all part of having a 4wd, i dont tow anything so ill be buying it to have as our nice car + 4wd.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

I ordered a GC Limited with extras early December and was then told it would be 2014 model - great!!. Delivery was to be May but I was told by dealer this week likely none will be released till all the 2013 are sold - perhaps July.

Seems rumors of E numbers this week was just that.. I got nothing, might put a call in tomorrow as that's pretty much March gone and no news and seems no CRDs built

If the BS from Jeep AU is still going end of April I might join JKAU and buy something else.. The arrogance and lack of information sickens me

Thats a pity robo but understand where your coming from. We have discussed this multiple times at home but problem is we dont like any of the competitors for the same money and capibility. Oh well we will continue to wait.

It's really poor and obviously these clandestine operations even have MILOUS completely in the dark. It just can't be that hard to keep people informed...it is not that these people (Chrysler Australia) don't know anything. This is really poor when customers are putting up 60 - 80k dollars. I am going to wait because do you think Chrysler Aust. is going to give a stuff when they hear of a customer moving across to Audi or BMW. Their method of doing business certainly is at odds to what one would expect but, then again, I don't sell cars, so maybe I am just a moron that can be ignored. It has been a long time without any news, I agree. You would think Milous would have got word of some tidbit somewhere over there for us poor information starved Aussies. Another thing that concerns me is our cars still have to come down the line, then apparrently, from what I have sourced from this site, they sit in storage for some time before shipment in case they find something wrong with them. In view of the above, and going into April, it is getting tight for a June collection. Let's hope July is still in our sights.

Sorry to be a downer guys, just couldn't hang in there any longer, have not been able to get any info, very bad customer service. There are rumors, and don't quote me because they are just rumors, be it could be as later August before we see anything.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Melbourne suburban dealer advises that all orders they were holding for MY14's were placed with Jeep Aus yesterday and VON/E numbers will be available to customers early next week. Are we seeing something starting to actually happen or is the dealer telling fibs again?

Well I emailed dealer today and this is response.

Hi Robert , I have spoken to our stock controller and we are yet to receive any numbers from jeep at this stage , I will keep you informed as we go along! Cheers Wayne

Why is it that dealers have to tell lies to customers . I had the same with my wife's BMW last year. Lies, Lies, Lies . My Brother in law sells Toyota and he's the same , could'nt lie straight in bed. For God's sake if the car I ordered 15th November last year and promised 11th February 2013 delivery is not going to arrive till September or when ever then say so. At least if we knew the truth we could make our own decisions to either wait or look for an alternative . I will never buy another BMW because of the bad experience and at this rate a Jeep either.

Don't apologise. Q7's are great cars. I see them everywhere and have thought of going down that track but it keeps coming back to what you get for the bucks. I also want the leather stitched dash which Audi does not supply. The inconvenience of waiting is really tough though. Fortunately we have this second car to use, a little Holden Astra but we don't like taking it too far from home.
Our Statesman died almost a year ago and we thought we would wait because I was told I would have my MY12 by June/July (last year) but they got me the wrong car so I am still waiting. It means we can't really go travelling....not in an Astra. Q7's, Q5's look great, they always turn my head but I am hoping the headlights on the My13 JGC will turn a few heads with surprise too. I am sure these cars will create interest when they start appearing on our roads-especially from all those people who have recently purchased MY12-My13's because their dealers were not honest with them.

Text looks invisible? But can read it when I reply with a quote ... Agree I think your man Wayne has nothing, he is a mouse on the wheel like the rest of us. Only ones with the answers are Jeep AU marketing department and they aren't coming clean with anything.

As stated before when you can sell 900 a month without trying and are finally onto something good after years of average product, you no longer need to give a toss about the ones and twos like us poor bastards

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

It is game of patience, many in this forum have gone through the 6 months period to get their jeep, checkout the downunder thread 6-7 months back, you will see similar hospital emergency waiting room mood there . I would love to know GC the sales stats 2011/2012/2103 given 900 sold each month. I see lot more 3.6L Grand Cherokees on Sydney roads than CRDs now.
