Hi Domo10,
I have asked the dealer via email, I shall keep you posted about the any results (or lack of).
Cheers

Driving into work today I nearly got driven off the road... or at least out of my lane.... by of all things the previous model of a jeep grand cherokee... I think he was more interested at looking at the new version than staying in his lane.

At least he waved to acknowledge his error and didn't give the bird. The new gc is definitely a head turner even if only stock standard...

But was very much taken by the pictures of the flashy internal lighting... so much so I got out the laptop (the photos on my phone did the lighting no justice) to show partner and give a little hint that xmas is only around the corner

Thanks Wade! I love the rock rails and for those who are wondering about side steps, I think there is more than enough room for your foot to use it as a side step. Also i think they would be easy/great to use while loading the roof racks. Disclaimer: I haven't tried them in the wet.

With regard to the tow hooks, still no success but the dealer is looking into a solution. He is chasing up whether the parts, without the holes for the tow hook brackets, can be changed out if we purchase that part from the USA. As soon as we have an answer I will post it on about 3 threads to make sure no one misses the result

Thanks osilaya,

So which way did you go with the seals or did you just leave them?

Thanks Karrakin,

Sounds like flat is the way to go.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

The long awaited Laredo Deep Cherry Red CRD will finally arrive at Swanston Dock, tomorrow Thursday 15th Aug. Exactly 9 months to the day from whence I ordered her/him. A long gestation period. Hopefully the birth will go well and mother/ father and child all doing well.

One question that has been asked recently and in other posts, is there a problem in sourcing the towbar and electric harness dealer fitted?

I see some are having problems obtaining them and others are happily towing their vans around the country (lucky buggers).

Anxious to get on the road after running in and I dont want any delays or excuses because of towing equipment.

Bluey

Was going down to Port of Melbourne to welcome the "Tarago" but she gets in at 5.30am so that lets me out.!!

My Mopar tow bar (made in NZ) was fitted at delivery three weeks ago. So I'm not sure whether there is a shortage of bars now. I received a call last week to advise the new wiring loom had arrived. Being fitted next week.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

All,

My Mopar tow bar (made in NZ) and 7 pin flat wiring harness was fitted at delivery four weeks ago, also.

Can anybody please advise whether the spare tyre has a pressure sensor fitted?

Jeep Aust - Customer Service advise that Rear Vision Cameras for the Laredo's are not due in Australia until some time in September 2013

Regards,

David

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

There is no TPS in the spare and a 5th one for the spare cannot be seen by the car.
It is a pity as it would be a good option.

No rear cameras - what a joke. Can jeep aus be held responsible if a kid gets run over?
