If not, we think again.

As for the chrome. I have none as yet as I have the Laredo. So all black below the paint.

Other than some minor issues with paint imperfections love the car. Great drive and can't wait to get it back from the wife at weekends. Two car family, one likes manuals (real driving) one doesn't. JGC is Auto, second car is a manual!! Guess which I take to work!!

BTW
I have had no Uconnect issues to date. The only slight sign was a report from SWMBO that on pressing SET+ to accelerate the CC tuned itself off and would not come back on. Once the car was off and restarted all was OK. I tried to re-enact the issue but no joy. Maybe it is the one that does not like a manual shift!!!.

Me thinks that I should nick the new car and see what happens. On second thoughts ----------

Maybe we won't go there!!

Regards

A.
Thankyou, I shall wait patiently. In the meantime, if anyone else fits a nudge bar to the MY14 please consider posting a pic for interested members.

Got a quick question. Does anyone know who makes the Uconnect 8.4 for Chrysler, and also, does anyone know where a wiring diagram can be found. I would like to activate the nav for screen input while in motion without the 3rd party hardware. Usually its just grounding a wire, or removing a ground...

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

My understanding was that it's Harmon Kardon, but I can't imagine them working with the HVAC, etc. Maybe it's a partnership thing between them and Chrysler et al??? There are several versions and the majority of information is for the 8.4AN North American version, but what you're looking for should be common to both units.

I'm not sure that it'll work on the same principle as aftermarket systems designed for simplicity of interfacing... but it'd be cool if it does I'll watch this space!

Cheers,
Steve

Webber,
Had look around and found this USA, New Jersey site. (You probably have too)
A good range of bull bars and "nudge" bars too.
They nominate MY13 but I'm sure they are up to date with the MY14 too.

Easy to import. Suitcase job. Overhead locker carry on??

May have a problem with Australian compliance.

I'm starting to sound like a broken record. I doubt these USA nudge bars can be fitted to Aus MY14 GC because they mount to the recovery hook points - which our GC don't have.

IBJ,,
Are you saying a bullbar designed for a 600kg buffalo/bison or a 700kg moose is not going to adequately protect against a 90kg jumping australian rat???

Dont worry IBJ, I know what you mean. Bloody government regulations everywhere!!

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

I agree with GMWK2, as these may not only not comply with Aussie safety standards (got nothing to do with the strength), but because our front chassis have been altered from those of the USA, due to no recovery hooks, they may not simply be a straight up bolt on.
This is why we cannot have these Jeep Grand Cherokee bumpers if you have anything younger than a WK2 MY11

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Came across this picture of the dash display depicting the wheel articulation. Is this on the Laredo 4x4 or only for the Limited and Overland?

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

HI all,
Has anyone purchased the tow hooks for the MY14 Limited and can confirm that the part number is 82212095 and that they do fit. If so, I'm going to order a set from the US. (ready for Oct/Nov car delivery).
Thanks

Unconnect:
FYI, I have a problem with my FM radio settings being restored to the factory default for some reason? Happened twice now.
