With alloy wheels it is not possible to torque once and be done with it. They must be re-torqued 300-500km later. Customers do not like hearing it, so some mechanics just go a bit over spec so they don't have to hear the whining.

One seventy something seems ridiculous?

Ciao,

Thanks, sorry about the text colour something went wrong with my settings. I will try to contact Chrysler on Mon and see if I can get to the bottom of the wheel nut torque situation.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Got my E number today from Alex at Waitara, still in D1 status.

"D1" - Vehicle has been scheduled for build. Vehicles remain in this status for 2-4 weeks on average. Longer is not unusual.

So Jeep Aus are supplying E numbers before a vehicle is built and they know it is right.

Congrats Snuke. Good to hear Alex is still doing a good job.

Good luck during your wait - try not to drive yourself crazy checking the status updates.

No chance of me doing that.
It will happen when it happens, it's out of my control.

It's a Searay. Just traded my 2002 for a new one. I got one that was already ordered by the dealer on the old exchange rate of $1.03.

I was pretty sad dropping the old one off today, my kids have grown up with her and leaving her behind made me realize they are growing up - life is short. The old girl and us had a lot of fun together...sob....

But roll on November.

Sorry for high jacking the thread.

Fantastic. We actually drove passed proxy cars today here in Adelaide and there was a white srt there. I ordered sepia interior but was unable to tell what the interior was from a distance. Fingers crossed!

Touch wood, the similar design (fault) in 2012 was not carried forward in 2014. See the link for details.

With any luck it is the passenger side that is cold when it should be hot in the AC setting. You can get warmed up with the fire.

Yeah, I'm completely stunned by the amount of burnt out JGC's lying by the side of the road as I drive around each day.

Great news for you.

How many others went ahead with the group buy and have E numbers? I don't have mine yet, even though I ordered before you
