"drive away" price here in vic is $76,500 for white and $77,000 for metallic, from the dealers mouth ( I know the jeep web site calculators are different and make no sense) .. I figure this guy in Canberra is trying it on at over $81K ! Maybe trying to condition people to the '14 price rise.

Or the dealer has told you there offer price, not the official Jeep Au price.
The three dealers I have gone all quote the same drive away pricing that you see on the website, and all said they could do far better than that.
I have seen countless advertised above this price; it is their right to.
Dumb, as the true pricing is so transparent, but their right.

Fantastic information as always Milous.

I might rock down to my dealer on the 24th and see what they have to say...

Mate, if you can get a 2014 Cherry Red SRT with pano sunroof, HK audio and a towpack drive away for less than $81k, then I will personally give you the difference in cash to $81k... How about if you find that your info is wrong then you do the same. The Canberra dealer may be out by a couple of k if you wasted days haggling... but there isnt that many SRTs so Im not going to argue.

Carpoint.com.au... read the small print agaunst the $76k price. Then add $7600 gst, $6k luxury car tax, $2k odd rego and third party, $5k extras... and I dont get $81k?... best check you figures.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

It certainly looks like Overland will be our top model from your above information. Someone posted very recently, I think on the main site that their MY14 made funny clunking noises on decelleration. With these first cars arriving to fulfil orders, will they have all the possible problems knocked out of them. I would hate to be in the first group of cars to be received only to find out that undetected/unknown problems have snuck through with them. No one wants to be the Guinea Pigs when outlaying $70K plus for a car.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

MILOUS,
It's just occurred to me that these 500 cars already built would be petrol engines. I am assuming that the next run of 700 cars will be the CRD's which I think you gave a production run date recently of mid May, is that correct? (and... just one other question - what are your most recent thoughts on Australia getting the Summit?).

Has anyone noticed harsh tranny kick downs when decelerating and costing to a stop? Just seemed more pronounced than expected

just found it at recent post No. 10974 of main site. Have you heard anything about this problem Milous????

No sign of Summit models in volume, so it looks like either no Summit or late availability.

It was an Overland CRD.. Not an SRT... If it was an SRT, yes agree $81K drive away for an SRT would be good buying.
