After 5 long months my DCR SRT docked in Australian today. Only a few weeks now - hopefully.

Looks awesome Adrian, going to have to work on the ministry of finance to get me one of those (yeh that's the deal, I got MY car, but she gets the purse strings for the spend of the little extras I like to get..)

Melville must be learning as they go, dropped mine to Vic Park in the late morning for a tow bar install and reverse camera and got a call around 4 to come and get her.

The Laredo grille is rather bland so these should trick up the Deep Cherry red somewhat!!

Amazing cost for 7 chrome inserts were; US$22.69 plus US$52 for freight to front door. 6-10 days delivery. (Take note Chrysler/Fiat/Dodge/Jeep/RAM/Alfa etc)

Self installed, not easy though.
Also ordered chrome door sill scuff plates with Grand Cherokee stamped.

I think Webber got some.

Anyways, Red Devil 1 week in OZ tomorrow, probably still on Swanston Docks. (Melbourne)
US photo of grille inserts below.
Hymer.

Looked at their site tonite and nothing showed up. How did you find them? Could you please advise order details.

Not sure about learning. Had an alleged wheel alignment undertaken, but same issue persists. Will have to submerge over the weekend and look for tell tale signs of any adjustments being done.

Ordered the bar from Jeep as part of the deal. Brackets to fit were not available at delivery so had to wait until now. At the time of ordering I was not aware that the Jeep bars have no facility to fit any additional bits (eg aerial) as they have no brackets welded on.

Whilst the bar, as a bar, is fine, it is very tight to the bumper with minimal room to fit any aftermarket brackets behind the bar without damaging the bumper.

If you are after only some front protection then it should be fine. If you want to mount lights etc, am not sure.

There are other posts on this site that show the same bar fitted to a 2012 model and there seems to be significantly more room behind the bar as the owner has had additional brackets welded on. Josh3008 posted the attached of what he had done. At least am protected somewhat in the car park though.

Also ought to mention that once the bar is fitted the cover plates, if cut off IAW the instructions no longer stay in place. I now have one cut and one whole. Will see what I can come up with.

Regards

Adrian

He also enquired if I had reported these issues... well yes... 3 days after picking it up and it would have been sooner but you weren't open... two weeks ago.... and by the way yesterday when I was ensuring that the towbar which was part of the original order was going to be installed today....

What... you are needing the towbar to be installed today as well... who did you arrange that with and your chances are slim.

After I laughed he said I could always just leave with the car now.

He was able to help me with one issue.... the issue in relation to a bubble in the tint which they arranged on the drivers door window.... his response with a smile was "you will have to take that up with the company that installed it... it isn't our problem."
My friend just picked up his Billet & Black Ltd, same dealer as me. Full tank of juice, towbar fitted, Jeep cap and a bunch of flowers for the wife.
Will update you when he goes back for service/issues.
