Smile Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Have ordered a white with ORA2, Quadra-lift, tow pack and mudflaps etc. Apparently there's one in transit for imminent delivery, so I'm pretty happy about that. Should be ready in a couple of weeks. Dealer has advised they have the tow pack in stock and ready for fitment but the mudflaps are on backorder with spares.

Has anyone fitted Bridgestone D697LT's to their GC yet? My current car has D694's, and I'm VERY happy with them regarding mileage and performance (for the type of driving I do).

Adrian,

Same as me, didnt find on their website.
But, phoned (Skype=cheap) and they confirmed the Part number as 68143075AB.
I also purchased the stainless steel door sill guards (four of with GRAND CHEROKEE on them) $74.76
This is the response from moparone.com
The grille inserts come in 3 separate pieces. All should be here early next week. (Even before the car)

"Yes, we have one of the chrome honeycomb style kits left in stock. It is part # 68143075AB and runs at $22.69/US. Your shipping charges for Melbourne, Victoria are $52.40/US for a total of $75.09/US. The requested item ships through USPS on Priority Mail and arrives in 6 to 10 business days."

I hope they hide it away in their garage... so you aren't reminded that you have to wait.
It's bad enought I can see my friends on their drive, from my house windows. Just plain cruel.

Picked up my Laredo CRD yesterday and the dealer told me that they don't do 1000km services anymore. He said that there was no need and the Chrysler Australia had stopped paying for them? The service consultant backed this up and said to drive it through to 10,000km before first service Has anyone else had this from their dealer? Does anyone know if they actually do an oil/filter change at 1000km or if it's just to make sure all is well with the customer?

Hi StormRL
My jeep just had its 1000k service on Tuesday and they changed the oil and filter, they then go over the car and check if any updates need to be applied, then washed and vacuumed the vehicle, still some minor things to be done once updates are available, but very happy with their after sales service so far

No that would be Christchurch NZ now.

The only city in the world where you get to validly use Quadra-Lift as soon as you leave your front gate. Oh and also, no car park issues any longer. Plenty of open space - just park where a building once stood. True.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

my dealer said that there was no requirement for a 1000k service just come back at 10,000k. Got a bunch of flowers for the missus, a bottle of red and a bottle of white with the delivery. Also had great service when I took her back for the tow bar and side steps.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

The 1,000klm service was just a "peace of mind" run over any items which required looking at or adjusting. There was no oil change required.
Some owners have been requesting an oil change, just to ensure any metal filings and dirt was removed. No really an issue with today's engines.
