Hi noons,
Have you heard anything from your dealer about delivery yet?
My GC also left Tamerlane in Fremantle - tracking the progress of that ship has been keeping me going for the last 6 weeks!!

It's the first car I've ever driven with the indicators on the left hand side, I found myself somehow indicating the wrong way on 3 occasions driving home from the dealership... My only gripe thus far is the optional single recovery hook, while it's usable it's way too recessed, hopefully someone sort out a way to fit the dual hooks soon. The Cooper ST's 275's give the rig a nice look too and the road noise isn't bad.

Hey Wade, You mentioned the optional single recovery hook and had a photo of it. Pretty sure that no one else has been able to have a recovery hook fitted at all, so you should be quite happy. Did you request this and do you have any more information on it. I have two weeks before I pick mine up and thought there was no option yet for us for recovery points.

Hi Wade - the Coopers do look good. What are you doing about a spare? I imagine the 275's don't fit in the well.

Hi Createit, I believe the recovery hook I have is the same one used on the previous model, MY11? It was fitted by Osborne jeep in WA, I can give them a call tomorrow to get the part number if you like.

Hi Russell, I haven't tried fitting it in the well yet. I'm planning on mounting it vertically in the well so I can fit a second battery in the well also, then have a single drawer mounted over the battery and have the spare secured to the drawer if that makes sense. This should make accessing the spare quick'n'easy and hopefully give me enough room for a permanent storage drawer, car fridge and aux battery.

Wade

It sure looks like the same hook I have on my my13. I guess this confirms that the my14's have the same 'shortened' frame/rails as the my12s & my13s. which is a shame really as without two hooks, 'heavy' front recoveries have the potential to twist the chassis.

Is there any reason why a second one of these recovery hooks can't be mounted on the other side were the tow hook goes? If the RH rail has the same holes as the LH rail then it should be doable.

I will try again tomorrow and set traction to rock
So rock requires 4x4 low and I didn't get the knocking sound in ORII. So I will leave ORII for rock crawling and ORI for general offroad use.

Cheers,
