If you got the QL to increase your ground clearance, putting a side step would negate that advantage. I could be wrong.

Really sorry mate. I haven't had a chance yet.
I've been so flat out, and I've actually purchased a demo MY14 - pick it up on Friday

I'll still swing by this week though!

Yes the running lights ( on the turn side) do turn off when indicating, same as on the Audi.
Not sure re the texts, but read earlier that you have to be stationary for this to work.

Haven't tried texting yet so unknown to me but certainly normal for your drl's to turn off whilst indicator is blinking. At night with headlights everything remains on...it is only daytime with the drl's that they turn off with indication.

I'm unable to reply to texts (i can receive texts while driving, i dont need to be stationary) and i believe i am unable to reply due to the iphone 4 not supporting the feature to send the text message via voice through the uconnect.

DCR & Golliaths on the SRT look amazing. Did you get the ACC stop & go function?
Similarly, has the functionality of the UConnect improved in relation to past forum comments?

Staun tire deflaters

Hello from NYC,

Heading to brooklyn on exchange my off road permit for a new one. I have a set of brand new Staun deflaters, I never used them on the 05, always just did it the old fashon way. Do any of you down under beach rats use this brand deflator? are they reliable? I plan on bringing my 18" tires down to the preset PSI of 18.

Hi guys,

Thanks for the kind comments.

Have noticed a couple of things in the past couple of days
The brake dust from the Brembos is terrible. Spent an hour scrubbing the Goliath rims when I washed it. Might have to look into an alternative brake pad
The Uconnect still has the standard gremlin - weird temp operation, apart from that the HK stereo sounds great, and SATNAV seems to work really well.
Found one build quality issue so far. Plastic rivets are used to attach the wheel arch liners and bumpers, found two rivets that didn't take up properly, but probably being a little pedantic.

Missed out on Stop and Go, but love the ACC as is.
8 speed auto on the HEMI is amazing, but the tiptronic style gear selector takes some getting used to.
The fuel economy seems ok so far, travelled around 200km and used around 1/3 of a tank - all city driving so far.

Sparky they are the original Mopar black side steps I had fitted when I ordered the car.
