Pharmaboy - we don't have the 'swivel' ability headlights (which I think is what they call adaptive on the Summit) on our Overlands. We only have auto dip ability.

Hello Kevin, I think that may have been me. The problem was all mine, I must have left something switched on ... Suspect fridge on accessories. The following day we headed into country with limited phone coverage and apologise for leaving the problem unresolved.
We are now home and I am happy to provide the following owner review on possibly the first '14 to tow into the remote desert areas of NSW, SA and west QLD.
The Jeep, Laredo with ORII, quadralift and Cooper AT/3 ... The van, Jayco off/road Discovery 2T loaded. 8,000k fuel consumption total, 12.8. Best 10.5l/100, worst 13.8 cruising 95-100kph in hilly country.
Suspension, faultless. Used sand mode in desert dunes. Great for levelling van for over night sleeping. Handled rough Old Strezilecky track well. Road from Innaminka to QLD border extremely rough.
Car is completely dust proofed, could hardly believe it. No rattles at all. 8 speed box silky smooth. Played with paddle shift, a lot of fun, then left it D for the most part. More than enough power for towing, easy to forget the van on the rear and use the speed warning chime to avoid fines. The aircon had the usual temp variation issue and will be the only problem requiring attention at first service.
Final verdict ....SHE'S A KEEPER!

Ahhhh!

Problem with marketing terms I suppose, can mean anything you want- some of the aus reviews have said we have adaptive headlights - referring to the auto dip and the self levelling feature I suppose.

So a bit like a ford fair lane circa 1996 with the cornering lights

What this will prove Milous is that Chrysler Aust are full of S#*t and you were right ALL ALONG. When I think of smug dealers that were so sure of themselves that Australia would not get the Summit. When I spoke to dealers they were more or less quick to dismiss you as some internet crank.
A lot of dealers would openly state they had NO TIME FOR JEEPGARAGE because of the S#*t they kept peddling. When I raised your comments about the Summit, the fact a black one was shipped over etc. etc. they just peddled the line that JeepGarage just makes it all up. Grrrr.

Thanks Nariracruisin, glad to hear she preformed well with the van on the back.

Wrong thread but do you use a WDH? I'll be towing a Jayco Discovery too and have Quadralift.

Mate, mine was delivered two months ago in early July and I am still waiting for the camera and towbar - I'm sure there are others as well. What's worse is the dealer cannot give any indication of how much longer I have to wait - the response since July when asked is "soon". This is my third new car and I've never experienced anything like it.

Spoke to my dealer and said 400 cameras arrived yesterday. It's luck of the draw which dealers get them apparently.

And apparently the first batch of wiring harnesses for the towbar were wrong, so playing catchup there too.
