Not bad for an SRT that is 7 days old and has less than 500km on the clock
I'm not sure how long the engine ran with no water, got absolutely no warning or alarm to indicate an issue.
Oh man, that is heartbreaking. I really hope that they don't add insult to injury with rectifying the situation.

Also, consider insisting that an independent expert be involved in any determination regarding the state of the engine. Personally, I'd simply want another... but I bet you don't want to wait / be without it.

All the best,
Steve

Bugger. That's very ordinary.

Oh, and insist on a copy of the ECU data dump.

Ok. Now for something completely different. Laredo Drivers and Limited Drivers. I noticed the other night when I was being driven that the passenger door on my Laredo has blue lighting for the door handle and side pocket. No lighting on the drivers side or rear doors. Is this normal? Have I got one limited door and three Laredo doors, or what?

Confused.

Regards

Adrian.

Hi Milous, do you have any idea when the first of the right hand drive Summits will come off the production line bound for Australia ?

That is definitely worrying. Feel for ya mate, would be guttered if that happened to a brand new car just bought. You would've also thought you get some decent warnings as well - if you're losing all your coolant. That really sucks. Keep us updated on response from JA

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Car just loaded on the Tugela at Baltimore. Only a few weeks to wait now.

It has a build date of 30 July so hopefully already has the AC fix.

Might be time to remind the dealer about the camera and towbar.

Graham

Man that sucks totally! Feeling for you. Did the engine temp gauge go up at all to the H?

I think you may have a fault - My Laredo has the lighting in all doors

The gauge went to about halfway.
The temperature sender seems to be fitted to the thermostat housing which is high in the cooling system.
Crawling around under the car this morning looks like to leak is down low in the rear of the engine bay
This would have most likely left the temp sender with no water flow to get it to read correctly.
Checked the oil and it is black, indicated the engine got very hot
Have contact the dealer this morning and they are looking into it for me.
