Checked the oil and it is black, indicated the engine got very hot
Have contact the dealer this morning and they are looking into it for me.
I wouldn't put much on the colour of the oil, most modern diesels seem to turn the oil very black very quickly after a change.

Given its an SRT, diesel isn't really in the equation

You would hope not.

Perhaps keep some of the oil so that you can get an oil analysis done to check for engine damage.

Hey Milous are sure about the Summit heading to Aussie, the dealer is saying they know nothing about this and they are going to contact Jeep Australia, from past reports, wonder what sort of response they will provide.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Had my software upgraded today to fix the Air con Synchronize issue.
Seems to have fixed the problem as now the temps seem to be the same out of both sides when synced.
When in auto mode the system seem to work a bit different but all is good.
Cheers.

Hi Adrian, certainly me drivers side door illuminates as well. Not too sure about the rear doors. I'll check tonight.

The dealers may not have information yet, not sure when AU will make an announcement.

Milous, I sent the below text (sms) message via my mobile to my dealer a few hours ago. I have not had a reply.....message read: "Chrysler Australia mislead you. Milous was right all along. The Summit IS coming and u said Jeepgarage was full of crap".
