The ones on my SRT appear to have lamps and electrical wiring but I haven't seen them come on.
Any ideas?
You need to push the light knob in. First push turns front fogs on, second push turns rear fogs on.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Picked the Wee Beastie back up Saturday arvo, he still claims it was just dirty fuel that caused the problem. He done a DPF burn and cleared the filter and all seems good, it still has the same tank of fuel in it so we will see what happens. I will still take a sample out for insurance and have it tested if it happens again. I have fitted the chrome door sills now and the bonnet bug defector which covers the Jeep logo but makes the front look very dark and mean being in Maximum Steel.

Glad youre happy with that response Peanut. Doesnt sound quite right. If they say it was dirty fuel and the DPF's and fuel filter are right to run now, wouldnt it stand to reason then that you still have the dirty fuel in the tank.
And then potentially be subject to the same problem again??

Why wouldnt they say to you, "Your Dirty Fuel mate, empty the tank and replenish with Clean Fuel!!"

Unless it was another problem associated with the vehicle and it was easier to say "Dirty Fuel, mate"

Peanut, just my view of it and hope all goes well with your rig in the future.

My Laredo CRD MY14 will soon be turning into a MY15 if I dont get it soon.

After 4 weeks in Melbourne, been advised still in the "BUILD" stage at Prix Cars.

Hell, it only takes less than three (3) days to build the complete damned thing in the factory in Detroit.

Maybe Chrysler/Fiat/Jeep/Dodge/ RAM/ Alfa etc can buy the Ford Factory in Geelong and Broadmeadows and start building them here. Would save 6 weeks on the water and another month at Prix Cars.

Happy Travels

Bluey

Not illogical Bluey... but not always necessary either.

Water and detritus all go to the bottom of the tank, and in old school vehicles you drop the bung for a litre or so and you'd be sure to have cleared and bad joss out of the tank. Interestingly in this situation, I'm not sure the Grand Cherokee has a drain plug, as my recollection is that the tank is plastic. So how do you exit the nasties without dropping the tank and pouring everything out??? I must take a look... unless anyone is already schooled on the scenario under there?

I guess my take on these suss explanations is based on how much I'm out of pocket. If it's only the embarassment of my new ~$70k vehicle leaving on a tilt tray, I'd probably just cop it with a "yeah nice one mate" look in response. But if there was a cost...

Good you're back on the road Peanut

Steve

My MY14 Laredo emits a (slight) whistling sound when I am not accelerating around bends! Seriously, it sounds like an air whistle sound (it's not loud but definitely there) and it goes away as soon as I accelerate - foot on, no whistle, foot off, whistle. It seems to occur at any speed, which makes me think steering or suspension related? I'm wondering has anyone else experienced this?

Hey

Had flash upgrades today for my 14 5.7H overland. A/C seems rectified, and the cooling capacity has increased 3 fold. Now set to 21 degrees instead of 17.
VR now works for changing from media to radio.
Any 'find address' for VR receives, not available for selected country.
Slight pull to the left with steering. Adjusted at 1000k, but still pulls. Took it back at 2000k today for another alignment, but still slightly pulls to left. Drove straight back and asked tech about procedure for wheel alignment, and pointed out the setting in the UConnect for wheel alignment. I asked had he seen it before, a vague 'yes'. Think I will take it to a wheel and tyre place, rather than give them another chop at it.
Great vehicle overall. Thumbs up.

I feel it is their responsibility to fix your alignment. I would not give them an "out" to blame someone else for stuffing your wheel alignment. When next at the dealer ask why you can't use the VR for Navigation. It must come down to software because the Uconnect performs that function in the United States. Will be interested to hear what they say. With regards to changing from media to radio...have you tried Voice Recognition to select your songs by "Artist" or "song"? I am assuming changing the temperature using the VR is a given?.....and yes, this is a stunning car. Damn annoying that alignment bugbear though.

Hymer.......Just NOT good enough the way they have kept you waiting. My car went through "prix cars" or whoever they are in about 3 days. I am keen however, to see that Laredo looking like a "souped up" Summit with that sparkling blingy grille you have. Hope you get it soon 'cause you're just going to experience so much pleasure....and you've done enough waiting time.

Dont put in Sydney in the box, use either Newcastle or port Kembla. Sydney doesnt want them.
Use Baltimore, Marylands as the departure port in the USA
Easy as.

Thanks Bluey,

I was surprised to see the number of vessels coming into Port Kembla, and leave me wondering why some cars sit at Baltimore port for weeks.

Hey Hymer,

It can't be too far off, mine cleared Prix Car in Melbourne in 10 working days, and arrived only a few days prior to yours.
Could CJA be holding the car from release to the dealer until the Uconnect updates are / were available?
If this is the case, it shouldn't be too long now.
Which dealer are you going through?

The "not available for selected country" is more likely a function of the Australian mapping, probably supplied by Sensis.
