I now find that i cannot make comments on the Jeep site, I can read the comments and all their propaganda but I cannot make comments. I can read other comments but no area for me to respond or comment.

There is no "Write Something" field.

Is this normal for other Jeep Garage posters or am I barred from commenting on Jeep Australia Facebook site.

Maybe I have missed something here. I hope I have. If Ive been barred then there is no natural justice being applied for me.

Can othe JG members let me know. I am very sad.

Thanks TJQLD. I checked tonight but couldn't see anything there. Mmmm. I'll take another look tomorrow. Cheers.

Regarding my wheel alignment, I asked again about the wheel alignment setting I showed them in the UConnect and the fact they didn't realize it was there. They finally admitted that they are learning on the fly with the new JGC.
I said, as long as they are up front and honest, then I'm happy to bring the vehicle back to them.
The A/C is so much better with the software upgrade to the HVAC and the flash upgrade.

Will let you all know what hapoens once I book it back in.

Now this is becoming interesting. If you can do navigation via the VR button then you are going to be the first person to confirm that voice controlled navigation works. Waiting eagerly in anticipation of your success??????? ( strange thing about needing to move an aerial!!)

Glad to report all is well, only took a couple of hours to do the job, so I spent the time having a lazy lunch at the Noosa Surf Club.

The guys in their Service Dept did an outstanding job, apart from the paperwork authorising the job you would never know the unit had been replaced, everything was set up correctly and I only had to re pair my phone back in to the Hands Free and reset my home address.
For those interested the software version is 13.19.0 and the Air Con fix has worked.

I am sorry to hear how some of you guys / girls are being treated by your Dealers, I would give mine 10 / 10 for quality of service and customer satisfaction.

PS: As a matter of interest the manager told me that the Jeep GC is now number one in 4WD sales volume in Aust... not supprised
Hey "G"......does this mean you now can set your navigation addresses via voice control? If that is so I must get back onto my dealer.

I'm looking at purchasing a 2014 GC Overland CRD and actually put a deposit on one today. Much to my surprise tonight I've found out the problems this model has?
Can anyone post if any of thse issues have been resolved by the dealers, or are they still outstanding?

Is there any satisfied owners out there?

Any info you have is appreciated, might save me from buying a lemon. Getting my 1k back from the dealer could be another drama.
JMaggiore - I have reposted your question here from the problem thread. You will likely get a greater response with your question being here.

We are very satisfied with the car. The only outstanding issue is the ability to use Voice Recognition with the navigation system. You can say to it - Navigate Home and that works but you cannot ask it to navigate to any other address. Of course, manual input works fine.

The Climate Control issue has been fixed with the latest TSB as Snuke pointed out.

It is a brilliant vehicle. Fuel economy (diesel) is exceptional. We would purchase another in a heartbeat.

JMaggiors... like SJandL said... the car is amazing with only minor niggling issues.... but unfortunately depending on your dealers behaviour or what there response is... determines how you feel about the experience.

I would not have any hesitation to buy another 2014 grand cherokee.... I would just research the dealer I used a little more and get some of the little things that you would normally expect as good customer service written down in the contract.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Hello Everyone,

Well finally last Saturday I took delivery of my CRD Overland after a long journey. Originally had my heart set on a Summit after having seen it in the flesh in the USA at the launch but after a lot of negotiating with CJD Australia and even a discussion with Clive, I ordered an Overland. One of the main reasons was that the Summit has a limited range of interior colours and I really wanted the Light Frost Beige combination to go with my Deep Cherry Red. Also, as it turns out, feature wise, there is not too much difference between our Overland and the Summit, however the Summit will be up around the SRT price according to the discussions I had with the Marketing Director of CJD, so could not justify the extra cost.

My car is mostly going to be a city car with the occasional adventure over the curb onto a dirt track to get to the flying field, so no serious off road adventures. I mostly want it for the space to ferry around my RC helicopters and planes.

I have taken a whole pile of pictures and attached them for those who are still trying to decide on what they should order.

Options are, Towbar, Mudflaps all round, Door Entry Sill Guards, Front Glass Tint – darkest legally possible, Clear UV Tint on all other Glass as dark glass has no UV protection and Cargo Mat. Coming Stainless Pedals for all three will post pictures when fitted.

My firmware is 13.19.0 and so far things seem to be working OK, but the VR is a bit tricky. I am told that 13.28.0 is the current version in the US, is better and has a few extra features, one of which I am looking forward to, Auto Entry/Exit on Park. I am told the cars in production at the moment are past the 13.28.0 level of firmware, somewhere around 13.31.6, what that will do or fix, who knows and when it may get here, who knows.

Will post a second message with the Interior pictures.

Enjoy and thank you for reading my post…….regards, JosephR

CRD Perth, I do not have such an option under my settings tab. I have a MY14 CRD Laredo with Uconnect software version: 13.19.0. The only menus that I have under Settings are:
Display;
Clock;
Safety & Driving Assistance;
Lights;
Doors & Locks;
Auto-On Comfort;
Engine Off Options;
Audio;
Phone/Bluetooth;
Radio Setup;
System Information.
There is no "suspension" option under these menus. I have steel suspension (not QL) so I'm guessing that the "suspension", "tyre jack mode" and "transport mode" mentioned by TJQLD are not included/activated in my Uconnect.

I've had no significant problems with the operation of my system. I have not experienced any air con issues and I don't have navigation on my model. The only thing that annoys me with Uconnect so far is that it doesn't remember my last radio/audio on/off setting - that is, no matter what, the radio/audio will always come on when I start the car.

JMaggiore - I too was worried about reliability issues before I got my JGC (there are plenty of horror stories around). However, after having the vehicle for 2 weeks I am very happy with it. As others have said the major problems with these vehicles seem to be dealer/JA oriented. A good example are the reversing cameras that most Laredo drivers (including me) are still waiting to be fitted to our vehicles. When I asked my dealer about this his response was "Can't tell you when it will be done." and "You will be in a queue as there have been people waiting longer than you have". This doesn't fill me with confidence that I'm going to see a reversing camera within 6 months of purchase of my vehicle.
