Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

You could buy a new 100" laser TV with internet feed, which will give you 100" of Jeep Garage website. Is that the upgrade you were seeking?

Under the UserCP, Vendor, Garage etc dropdown options at the top new2jeepsa, is a 'Become a JG Supporter' heading with a 'Click Here' in red below it. Click on that.

Important news from the dealer is that next week I have a high probability of having two tow hooks being fitted. He tells me that the tow hooks made originally for the MY11 happen to fit perfectly. I will know for sure on Monday and will post pics if it is true. Does anyone else have twin rated recovery hooks on a MY14 to confirm.
Very nice ride Createit. I have "only" a Laredo too, and frankly I dont miss the extra gear in the higher spec cars - the sat nav, VR, etc seems to not work anyway so who cares lol.

As for dealer telling you that the MY11 recovery hooks fit - well good luck with that - it has already been well established that they DO NOT. Best hope is that an aftermarket supplier will come good.

Who is your dealer by the way?

What, what happened to this!!

"Things are afoot!
At the moment it needs to remain confidential (I know how frustrating it is when people make this sort of post - sorry).
Maybe 4 - 5 weeks away.
And I reserve the right to say "I told you so" in a few weeks time."

I thought you were talking about an Jeep official hook setup coming, got my hopes up for nothing??
Unless an aftermarket supplier comes up with a hook setup using hooks that look the same as what comes std in the US don't think im interested.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

I ordered my Overland on 17 Aug 2013. I did not negotiate the price and paid the price they asked for. As soon as I signed the contract, dealer did not want to know me anymore. I wanted to talk to the Sales Manager about the delivery. He asked the assistant if I had signed the contract. Once he found out all the paper work had been completed, he told me he was too busy and won't have time to talk to me. I was stunned, stood there for a few minutes and left. I have not received my car yet. I called them Monday last week. They told me that the compliance has been completed and the car would be arriving in the showroom on Tuesday. I called them again on Thursday and was told that they were preparing the car for pick up. I am not sure what the delay is. The car is with them. Extremely unhappy with the dealer's attitude.

Come on Ansamoiz, dont be so impatient.
Havent you been paying attention to this Jeep garage thread??

Why you seem so surprised that this is happening to you amazes me.

Catch up with all the posts and you'll see youre not Robinson Crusoe m8.

Try 16th November 2012 in my case and yes, I have only just touched and patted my MY14 in the dealership on Saturday morning.

10 long months of waiting is nearly over.

Even then it wasnt a natural birth, we had to bring it on and even had a ceasar to extract it!!

Not to say i have got it yet, but I may only have to wait another week or so for it.

So Ansamoiz, take a deep breath and join the rest of us on the long wait.

And take a reality check about car dealersips.

Dont get me wrong, I really do sympathise with you but join the real world of Chrysler/Fiat/Jeep/Dodge/RAM/Alfa etc Oz.

Bluey

you have paid megabucks for crap service. Not good enough. Yes lots of posts confirming this attitude but not acceptable in any circumstances. We would have long gone to the wall treating our customers this way.

Hey Webber,
I was just studying the photo of your jeep, as i'm usually on the ipad app and don't see the signature, and it looks like your number plate is crooked.....

I would have thought you would be right onto that one.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Yeah come on Bluey, everyone here knows you're getting a super sh!t deal but give the brother a break. Maybe he's not dredged the 850 odd Aussie pages yet... a bit of support could have been easy to dispense too.

Dealer support is bad... and it's not just Jeep. We had a similar experience in being passed down to the gumby as soon as we committed to buying a 5 Series. I guess the difference here is that BMW head office listen and see that you get sorted... a free first service and day in the M-cars made up for it. Enter Jeep Australia and their "we don't give a crap" attitude. Without them on side, we've got a real problem here.

I believe that Prick Car... oops, Prix Car... let the dealers down too, and delays have a habit of rolling down the line. In all honesty Ansamoiz, your car will probably with you very soon. Not that it's OK to be "serviced" by the dealership as you have.

Cheers,
Steve
