Agh, My Jeep had a big bath yesterday, looking schmick. It is parked in my office underground carpark but it is pouring in Sydney. Going to get dirty on the way home. Maybe Ill walk home....
I looked at the Just for Jeeps site, and the only "export" slush mats say they are for 2011-2012. Do you know if there is a relevant difference between these and 2013 mats?

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Ansamoiz, great news there.

The best thing you could have done was post it in this Jeep Garage forum.
Bit coincidental that their attitude changed just after you posted, wasnt it.

And also a bit cheeky for them to say to you to give them a good report when Jeep wanted some feedback.

Congrats to you anyway. keep posted to this site and you will always find help here.

Bluey

He offered me a piece of cake and a cup of coffee. They also gave me a full tank of diesel.

They did ask me to provide positive feedback when Jeep Australia calls me in a few days.

I love the car. Haven't explored anything due to rainy day in Sydney today.
Hi Ansamoiz,

That's fast. What colour did u order?

I would tend to give feedback based on the service I received BEFORE delivery, and keep emotion out of it (which is what I intend to do, once I take delivery). How else are other potential customers going to get a true picture of the Jeep dealer network (and Jeep Australia)?

Let them suck it up and EARN business, just like anyone else.

I thought you were talking about an Jeep official hook setup coming, got my hopes up for nothing??
Unless an aftermarket supplier comes up with a hook setup using hooks that look the same as what comes std in the US don't think im interested.
Hey GMWK2 and JustinS, I have been here and reading for months and have heard all the talk about the tow hooks and had given up on them for now. It took me by full surprise that the sales manager Shannon from Werribee Jeep brought it up at the handover as he knows I am taking the car onto Fraser Island very shortly (although he has moved to the Fiat / Alpha side of the business he was still looking after me since my referral to him from webber). I confirmed with them again today being mopar hooks and got an installed price for both hooks. They are to be installed on Wednesday.

On another note they believe by Wednesday to have the MY14 slush mud mat's in stock and I will have a set of them going in.

Additionally to this I bought the car to tow our caravan and am heading off shortly and asked about any ideas to have the camera from our van connected in to the media display and have a switch placed on the dash to change between the two feeds. They are confident that this can be done and may complete this also.

As we have all had bad experiences with the dealers and i am no different, i wanted to share a good experience. I am thankful to Webber for being on this forum and helping put me in touch with Shannon at Werribee Jeep. Believe it or not I am still waiting on a final price from two other dealerships closer to me as my order was more custom than they wanted to deal with. On my pickup of my car on Friday I noticed that the window tint had not been completed. But being in business myself I know that it all comes down to how you react when things do go wrong and the response from Shannon was that one of his staff would pick up the car on a day this week and get it fixed up and return it back to us so that we are not to inconvenienced.

If the tow hooks and mud mat's are a reality and get successfully installed I will post pics on Wednesday night after the car is returned.

I suggest you write to the dealer principal, explain that once you received the T&C you determined the policy was not what was explained to you by the sales team. You are therefore putting on notice that you will not be proceeding with the takeup of the policy, and you require a full refund within 24hrs. Failure to comply will result in your escalation to the Financial Ombudsman.
Thanks for the advice. The chap from the dealer still hasn't called back with a decision after he said he would speak with the MD. I'll draft a letter later this week.

On another note, I will be at the dealer tomorrow to have the tow bar fitted (the harness has arrived but still waiting on the reversing camera) and to fix that vibration/rattle behind the dash at idle. The dealer said that they will need to keep the Jeep overnight if they have to pull the dashboard apart.

I asked if they could update the uconnect software to fix the climate control/air con issue while they are at it but they insist they haven't received the updated software yet. Could this be correct for a Perth Jeep dealer? I noticed that many of you already have had the update over east.

Createit - the advice I had around 4 weeks ago was that Jeep Au had something on the boil in respect of recovery hooks for the MY14. Maybe you are the first to be supplied? I look forward to hearing how you go on Wednesday...

I think they have just added a weekend day if what I recall from the 2014 diesel production feed is accurate,.... that feed is very entertaining... as the US is still waiting for the release of their diesels

Hey Salmo, see we have the same interior / exterior colours and went to D1 status at the same time. The only difference is that you have an estimated delivery and I don't, starting to wonder if I will see this side of Christmas given the shipping times after manufacture.
