I have my fingers crossed on the delivery date. I have sold my car and am driving an 85 Corolla. I am holidays mid Dec and on the Spirit, so I am really relying on it being here, with towbar fitted. I think we will both be very happy, I ordered mine before I had seen the Frost. The dealer had one in the showroom a couple of weeks ago and it looks great.
The Overland Frost does look better than the Limited, but I guess thats what you get when you cough up the extra bucks.

Hah that's funny, I sold my Calais what appears now to be prematurely and driving round now in an 88 Camry, sounds like fairly similar circumstances.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

I had the reversing camera fitted to my 2014 laredo today, it has fixed guidelines not the dynamic lines that I was expecting. Also had the uconnect update, the heater controls now work as they should.

ParkView rear back-up camera with dynamic grid lines(2) is only included from Limited and above.

Dealer has quoted $140 for slush mats. Just for Jeeps is $212 delivered to Sydney.

Am I doing something wrong or are people using a different courier than Bongo to get items here?

My dealer assured me that the reversing camera on the Laredo was the same as on the Limited with the dynamic grid lines. Not a deal breaker but another example of Jeep confusion.

Are the dynamic grid lines linked to the reversing sensors or do they have some other way of sensing distances for their dynamic behaviour.

We are also getting the reverse sensors so I am wondering if that will make a difference as to whether or not we also get dynamic grid lines.

I used Bongo to import. What I did to offset the cost is to have several items shipped at the same time.
It is always worthwhile asking around to other members if anyone want's similar items shipped. That way, you share the freight costs.

Bigskiddy, I have MY14 accessories ordered from Moparone. Excellent service. Got them in 10 days.
www.moparone.com

Full set of slush mats front/rear, is $63 plus freight.

Email them from their website re the freight to be paid before signing up.
I did and the response was immediate. As they havent got 2014 in their year range, ask them and make sure they are for the MY14

Bluey

There would also be some sensors linked to the steering that would be missing.

Not just Jeep confusion but another example of salesman knowing jack sh#t about their product.

Just like the recent post with tow/recovery hooks will be fitted on Wed. My bet is Shannon at Werribee has just looked in the accessories brochure and assumed they are available.

I'm tempted to ring every dealer in Australia ask them to order in and fit tow hooks to my car. That'll teach em when they have a couple of hundred tow hooks on their hands that they can't do anything with.

On a happier note I read on another forum that a bloke went to pick up his Limited but they had supplied the wrong colour. The dealer made good by giving him one they had in the yard in the correct colour but with QL. He scored the QL free.

I'm hoping they stuff up my order and they give me an Overland.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Hi Guys, Friday 13th turned out to be a lucky day for us as it was the day we finally picked up our Cherry Red Laredo CRD, it seems that it was sent to the wrong dealership ( the explanation for why it took so long ). We went through the Knox dealership in Melb and they were extremely helpful when we came to collect our new beastie. We have a tow pack fitted, mudflaps and as we live a good hour and a half from melb in the country, they have said that they will come and pick up the car, give me a loan vehicle and then return the car when they fit the reversing camera ( when it arrives). Still getting to know all the beasties buttons and dials, but l should be on commission for Jeep Au on the first morning alone l have shown 4 people through the car ( including them sitting in the drivers seat ! ) and just like me they are seriously impressed. Loving this car and everything crossed that the gremlins stay away.
