I am of the same opinion as you regarding the bull bar, I don't want to change the appearance of the front vehicle either. If the ARB bar is colour coded the same as the body colour might be OK, but will have to wait for them to release it. My wife wants the bar fitted so I might not have a say in it. The deal breaker for either bar will be if they have to cut the front bumper like they do on a lot of the 4wd's to fit the bull bar.

Im not certain, but I think they remove the lower portion and have to cut the lining inside the mudguard. I have printed the picture and have been looking at it for the last few weeks, it is growing on me. It will be a lot nicer than having skippy or bambi adorning the grill & bonnet.

I've looked at the option from ECB, but I am not sure if I want to change the front appearance of the vehicle. Not sure when ARB will come up with their design and of course the big question about tow hooks, it would be great for a solution sooner rather than later. One question I would like to pose to all at JG, has anyone looked into fitting a bash plate to the front of the vehicle. I already have the Adventure Pack fitted, but I want protection right at the front of the vehicle. I'm yet to see anything local or on Mopar, so I'm wondering if anyone has looked into this. Solutions or your thoughts on this one would be appreciated.
Rocky Road have just the thing, however to fit it you also need to have fitted their winch support to provide a forward attachment point. There's nothing but fresh air and plastic up there otherwise

It doesn't look cheap to install, but our Perth Grand Cherokee specialist has put details on his website for the parts required. Check out Cruisin'On, Perth WA

Cheers,
Steve

That's correct the commission number is the "E" number.

I had a R51 Pathfinder with a colour coded ARB bar which looked good. I am hoping when ARB when released will look good also on the Jeep.
My wife has hit 3 wallabies in the last couple years coming home from work at night. Virtually no damage and that's her reason why she wants a bar on the new vehicle.

Pretty sure the rocky road gear won't fit the Aus spec GC beyond the MY11.

Nothing to do with "posers" mate, more so some features that the Overland doesn't have e.g. Directional headlights, better wheels(not a fan of the Overland wheels), better stereo system, etc. Sadly we are getting more info about a potential release of a Summit in Australia from our friends in the a states and not Jeep Australia. Had a question to them for over two weeks now about when they will release the summit and they continue to remain silent.

Hey Salmo, just saw mine has come off the production line waiting for final inspection, just hope they haven't stuffed up the interior / exterior combo. Given that we went to D1 status at the same time and we have the same colours, hopefully yours is tucked in close to mine in production.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Finally, pick the MY14 Laredo CRD up next week. (Hopefully)

A high tech piece of gear as we all know. U-Connect computers enough to put a man on the moon.

But, no low tech CD player on the Laredo.

Thats Ok, forced me to change all cd's to USB's now. Easier and quicker. Only a single disc CD player on the LTD and Overland anyway.

AND they put it in the centre console. Under the flip top arm rest!

So, thats where I may put the UHF/CB radio. There is an ICOM IC-440 small unit with the gear and speakers in the handset ideal for the job. Also a 12volt outlet there too.

Is that an ideal place for the UHF radio unit or has someone else come up with a better location on the MY14?? Its a remote unit with an extension available for the handset.

Any suggestions out there?

Bluey

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Just for information guys. I was communicating with Shannon of Werribee Jeep last night after reading posts about the hooks. I believe Creativ is taking his machine in today. This was Shannons response about the hooks:-

(and thanks Creativ for giving me those appreciative thanks of you dealing with Shannon.....I have stated before, if anyone is considering buying a Jeep or a Fiat brand give me a PM first):-

By the way, note how Shannon is monitoring his emails at 10.35pm at night. What other dealers do that. Well done Shannon.

to me
We have fitted multiple hooks already, we did the first ones for jeep Australia and have been tested in the drive days at bright
