Agree GMWK2, that's what I'm doing. I'll expect resolution like this on my Laredo's camera (minus the gridlines of course).

Salmo, Thanks for that, no I totally missed that had been looking at the last line to see if there was any movement from the holding place at New Boston at the moment. Did you see the schedule for shipping leaving Boston that I posted ?

When I check mine I also have a look at yours, fingers crossed you see some movement soon. Mine was actually ordered in May but the order got messed up and didn't hit the factory until a lot later than it should have. Looking at tracking it is possible for a vehicle to come off the production line and make the ship within a week, lets hope yours rolls off the line soon.

In the mean time we continue to drive the old Toyota's though I must admit for an old car, it runs really well, maybe I have got used to parting with the Calais. Think we will notice a big difference stepping up into our new rigs when they arrive.

Slow day here, so I'll scan and create a PDF and send it to Milous for the WK2 site.

The camera that is fitted in Australia to the 2014 Laredo does have the grid lines but the grid lines are not dynamic, also the resolution is poor. I read that Jeep are now fitting the reverse camera in the Laredo at the factory, when they arrive I wouldn't be surprised if they are the same as the Limited & Overland cameras.

If the dealers are fitting non genuine cameras, then if you want to make a warranty claim, they could very well refuse because it's not genuine - especially if you go to another dealer for service.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Hi All, I know this has been asked previously when I have scrolled back, but looking for current status on new deliveries. On my build sheet it shows "MEJA - MOPAR Splash Guards" does this now mean that they are supplied and installed as standard on an Overland ? Likewise a Cargo Net (CKRS), it also states " Front Door Tinted Glass: when I thought glass was only tinted from the rear passenger doors backwards.(although there is a separate reference to Deep Tint Sunscreen Glass under optional equipment - interesting the use of the word "sunscreen" other people have indicted that they have had to put UV film over the tinting afterwards ??

No reference to the software revision installed for Uconnect, but I did notice that it stated that 3.2 additional gallons of Diesel, if there was such a big issue that a WA dealer was claiming about letting the vehicle run so low on fuel why would the manufacturer only put so little in, yes I know about weight loads for shipping, safety etc but certainly an argument to put back to them re the warranty issue.

Hi Leenet, where did you read this? Could you post a link?

Those Laredo owners who have had their camera fitted, was there any paperwork with it re specs on the camera? And does the dealer have to run the cable to the back of the Uconnect display or is there a cable to the rear already?

It was my thoughts exactly. We hadn't even taken it onto the gravel yet, so it's not like we could starve the motor (ie a nice side angle and not have enough fuel for the pump to suck it up). Will be interesting how it all pans out over the next week.

I had the splash guards on my build sheet too, and thought I'd got lucky. But this is apparently referring to small body colour plastic guards behind the front wheels, not mud flaps (although they would have some beneficial effect), and I don't know if they are just on the Overland. I also don't know what impact they have, if any, on the fitting of real mudflaps. I'll find out soon as mud flaps are included in my deal and the car is due to arrive at the dealers today.
I have looked in two Overlands at the dealers, and they both had cargo nets rolled up in one of the cubbys next to the spare.
I'm pretty sure the front windows are tinted, but its quite light, and nowhere near as dark as the rear windows.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Can anyone please tell me if all 3 Jeep brake lights (left, right and top of tail gate) come on when you use the manual override button on your brake controller.
Just want to know what other MY2014's are doing.
I think I might have issues with the dealer so I just trying to get my facts straight first.
I have rang another dealer and they told me they splice into the wiring on a MY2014.
Any info would be great.
Cheers Brad.
