I like the idea of having a lip on the edges though.. wonder if that's possible.
Might drop into Clark Rubber tomorrow and check out what they have in stock.

It's simple, effective, easy to clean and cheap, may not be for everyone but suites me fine.

I now have started to travel with our Camper Trailer and want to start the journey into 4WD territory and head into what used to be Toyota Territory. I've looked at the option from ECB, but I am not sure if I want to change the front appearance of the vehicle. Not sure when ARB will come up with their design and of course the big question about tow hooks, it would be great for a solution sooner rather than later. One question I would like to pose to all at JG, has anyone looked into fitting a bash plate to the front of the vehicle. I already have the Adventure Pack fitted, but I want protection right at the front of the vehicle. I'm yet to see anything local or on Mopar, so I'm wondering if anyone has looked into this. Solutions or your thoughts on this one would be appreciated.
Hi Butts_Oz
Last week I was at the ECB factory with the same concerns. They have 2 designs of bars now with or without winch and both have RECOVERY HOOKS by 2 built in. I was thinking of getting black to match my black Overland but I think it looks too industrial so it will be polished alloy for me. They said with the standard bar the air dam below the bumper is removed and the ACC still works through the cut out in the bar and the front sensors are moved to the bar. Price Quoted $2300 fitted in 3 hours. The Bull bar with steel winch housing behind the bar they have to cut some of the body work so it makes it non reversible which is my dilemma but I must admit I have had a Nissan Patrol with no thought of removing the bar. Because of the winch placement down low they have to move the ACC eye to the bar above the winch. Price Quoted with winch was $4400 and about 4 hours to fit. This also adds more weight to front of the truck but air suspension should handle it.

Hi All, I have been reading posts re next delivery from US. I have a couple of questions if anyone can help me out.

To follow the build of the Jeep I have bought I need to be a premium member? Not sure how you know where my car is but like the idea of finding out. Dealer has told me delivery 15 November.
I have bought a SRT and can't wait to get it. Dealer has offered another 3 year warranty and extra 75,000 Kms. Any thoughts on this?
Parents bought a brand new Jeep in 1996 and was a great car back then. Hoping I have as much fun as them :-)

If your after a cargo mat, this looks like the cheapest option.

I physically went to have a look at this cargo mat from BOSSCOAUTO but didn't buy it as he quality is no where near that of the genuine Jeep item, I didn't get it. The rubber is so thin, the pattern is very very shallow and it didn't have the dimples underneath the liner to stop it from sliding around. It did have the JEEP name in the middle of the liner (under the BOSSCOAUTO picture that is on the eBay store).

Some people would still think it's ok due to the price though, just thought I'd post my experience on it.

Thanks Zillajnr. I thought from the picture the pattern looked shallow. Good to know.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Butts_Oz,

I did a fair bit of research and this is what I use, Meets ACEA C3 and approved by Chrysler MS-11106

Mobil 1™ ESP Formula 5W-30. Here is a link. ESP = EMISSION SYSTEMS PROTECTION.

Mobil 1&#8482 Products.

Here is a link for the product standard
Mobil 1™ ESP Formula 5W-30

If you buy direct from the supplier, its cheaper. They are called, East Coast Lubes PTY LTD, 184B Curtin Ave West.

Expensive and it comes in 4x5litre, 20litre, 12x1litre bottles. I paid $189.55 including GST for 12x1litre bottles. The 20litre gallon is $243.76 including GST. 4x5litre gallons were expensive out of the other two. Cannot remember how much were the 5 litre.

When i spoke to the servicing guys at Aspley Jeep, they said its the best oil to use for this engine as it meets and exceeds Jeep requirements. It is Fully synthetic motor oil.

Ameet.

Has anyone been checking their oil level during the first 10000 km travelled. I've noticed that at 5000 km, the oil level is at the minimum mark and as I'm about to do some extended towing over the next 5000 km, I'm looking for the right oil to mix in and yes I've read the manual as to the right type of oil to use, just finding it seems to be just as allusive as the tow hooks. Has anyone found the same issue with oil use and where are you guys getting your supply from?

Correct, you can track with Level 3 membership, and get a build sheet with Level 4, plus other things for both.

Only you can say if it is of value to you, but I am of the opinion and said before, but all extended warranties, car or tv etc. are a waste of money statistically.

I have had a look at the supplier re the Mobil Oil but it costs a bomb to get shipped to Melbourne. Does anyone know a local supplier in Melbourne. No Supercheap do not sell this Mobil oil, only a lower grade synthetic oil.

If not what is a good alternative - Nulon ??? What do the local Melbourne jeep service centres use if the Mobil one is so hard to get?
