Got the chrome door sill protectors as well, all up $130 delivered to the front door.

All I need now is a bloody truck to put them on!!! The Laredo is still sitting with Prix Cars.

So anyway, Webber, put these on and pretend youve got a Summit.
Hi hymer, Would you mind if I ask where did you buy these items from? I would like to install chrome grille inserts in my Overland.

Probably be on a train within a week to make port in time. Shame I miss out on it being here for cup weekend in Melbourne but will at least have it for Christmas. Better start organising a few things like mats etc now. Salmo no stress now looks like fishing in Tassie will be goer for you unless the Taiko sinks or something...lol!
Thanks.
I've been fishing in the Grampians for the weekend and have only just managed to check the build site this morning (Mon). I've been smiling so hard my face aches.
Eager to see my build sheets now.
I already have the sill plates & chrome Summit grills waiting. Just trying to organise the mat set & pedal kit. I am on to some mats in the US, but need to confirm a part number the RHD version.

Ansamoiz, got the bits from www.moparone.com
Send them an email regarding this just to make sure they are for an MY14 Grand Cherokee;

1 set Chrome Door Sill Guard for Grand Cherokee
1 Textured Summit infill for MY14 Grand Cherokee Part Number; 68143075AB

Again, email them first (off the web site) to guarantee the My14 parts. They respond very quickly.

For the chrome sill guards and the grille insert with postage was just on A$150. Arrived in 10 working days exactly.

Bluey

Although I read in some thread, maybe this one, maybe the floor mat thread that the passenger mat is slightly different for MY14, it has two plugs instead of one for the floor, or one instead of two.
Either way not an issue.
I just had a look at these and a bit further down the listing I noticed the following....
Note: 2013 Update Models (WK2) feature twin retaining hooks on the passenger side. Passenger slush mat has a single central hole, so will not attach to retaining hooks. Drivers side and rear mats will fit correctly.

Does not suit 2014 Update Models

They are called, East Coast Lubes PTY LTD, 184B Curtin Ave West. Expensive and it comes in 4x5litre, 20litre, 12x1litre bottles. I paid $189.55 including GST for 12x1litre bottles. The 20litre gallon is $243.76 including GST. 4x5litre gallons were expensive out of the other two. Cannot remember how much were the 5 litre. When i spoke to the servicing guys at Aspley Jeep, they said its the best oil to use for this engine as it meets and exceeds Jeep requirements. It is Fully synthetic motor oil. Ameet.
Thanks for your support Ameet. After a quick refill I've already noticed a slight decrease in oil temperature. I can only imagine if I did a full oil change how better of the engine would be. I suppose when I do my first long trip in a few weeks with the Camper, I'll keep an eye on the oil and engine temp and provide some feedback.

Thx for the information..

Not sure if anyone has spotted the accessories brochure over at the Jeep website but it is showing that tow hooks are available and the part number listed appears to be the hooks that don't fit the export model.

http://www.jeep.com.au/for-owners/doc/22/raw

Also interesting to note the part numbers for most of the other accessories are the same as the MY13's. This won't surprise most but the last time I spoke to my dealer they were waiting for MY14 part numbers for mud flaps and bash plates... Seems they may be waiting for a while.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

I don't know... initially I was disappointed with the units, but then that thought from the back of my mind that we shouldn't be hanging on to this one imperial measurement came to the front, and I decided to embrace it. I'd known for ages that using PSI was a bizarre hypocrisy in my generation, and in a way unprofessional using it at work. But what do you do...

kPa might have been preferred, but we're a metricated country. We really should stop sounding like a bunch of grumpy old men and instead lead the way in pushing this last bastion of imperial measurement into history.

Over and out,
Steve

No worries. Amazing how a little oil top up does wonders for the engine. Thanks for the info on the tow bar , now I am definitely getting one fitted to my GC when it arrives.

Cheers.
