I expect they will keep it the same where the V8 and Diesel already come with tow pack.
I was planning on a Laredo diesel with Off Road, Quadra Lift, Tow options and after market leather. However, I rather like the ParkSense functionalty offered currently on the Limited and up.

Now with all the changes for 2014, I need to see the finalised Australian 2014 specs and pricing before I choose what grade I will go for.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

On Sat 10th Feb i stopped at Five Dock Chrysler Jeep Dodge on Parramatta Rd in Burwood and spoke to a salesman named Neven Vukelic. Looks like he moved from Waitara to Burwood.

I have been speaking with David Grasevski at the Jeep dealer in Parramatta (cnr Church and Raymond St). I liked his attitude towards me better than the other various sales people i talked to over the month.

Now this gets me thinking about trying for a group 2014 deal.....
Count me in if looking for buying in bulk, looking at placing an order for a my 14 SRT !!!

Exactly, I am in no super rush, the Pajero does the job well, just getting a little long in the tooth.
Was actually at Castle Hill testing a new Pajero diesel, we have petrol now, and didnít even bother to look at the Jeeps, which as you know are on the same lot.
Jeeps were junk compared to the Japanese makes.
I got home and did a little research and came across Drive putting the GC as car of the year and thought I had better have a look.
Glad I did, they really have stepped up their game and make a quality product, just donít like what I hear about the supply of spares.
Lots say it is far quicker to just order stuff in from the US.

Thank you Milous for this Australia centric thread, your blood's worth bottling!

I too knew what I wanted, ordered it and paid my deposit On a '13..... Then discovered the '14 here on JG. Have been in a perpetual state of anxiety ever since changing my order to the '14. Just have to wait it out with patience with the rest of you.

So anything you can give us regarding options and pricing for Oz will be eagerly devoured Milous.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Australia 2014 Overland - have just confirmed that a white RHD 2014 Overland has passed emissions, passed inspection, and is currently at Curtis, Bay Maryland awaiting loading onto a ship headed to the Port of Melbourne. It may be important to note that this Overland did not have any "Summit" features, i.e. no HK audio, no adaptive headlamps...

They use trains. When you track it from Detroit it stops in a number of rail yards on the way.

Yes on Adaptive Safety package (ADG). V6 so no QDII. Standard to build pilot models ahead of launch, for all trim/drivetrain variants. Source also mentioned interior was Indigo. It will be used for further testing down under and thereafter for a show car.

I'll stay on top of it as best I can, hopefully at some point soon we'll have the Overland/Summit issue resolved, one way or the other. If for some odd reason Jeep Australia (or Jeep USA) decides not to release the Summit to Australia, I think it would be about the only country to do so. And with your growing market for Jeep it would be totally baffling. Everywhere else they have made a concerted effort to bring out the Summit as a separate luxury step-up model from the Overland.

Thanks Milous, That's one Summit you have now viewed addressed to Melbourne and one Overland that you know is being shipped to Melbourne.
The below email from a dealer to me still sits their in my mail confusing the issue as it was only as recent as this week. IT WILL BE COMFORTING when you report a whole batch of Summits addressed to Melbourne coming down the line. Head Office may be able to explain away one Summit as a show pony only but when they start coming down the line en-masse and all addressed to Australia SURELY THEN their cover will be blown. One wonders why Head Office continues to keep their Sales Staff in the dark with them continuing to sign contracts for Overlands and not Summits. Have you any theories why Fiat-Chrysler Australia would use this strategy so late in the piece. You have a lot more experience in this field than I do. With your previous history of how manufacturers work when do you think Chrysler Australia will inform their sales staff.
That email below:-
I had my regional manager here a couple of days ago, the summit is definitely still not being picked up for our market, he went through a few of the differences between the overland and the summit with me, and our overland is optioned with all factory options the summit is standard with i.e. Quadra lift, 20Ē polished alloy wheels, dual panoramic roof and many more.

Just thought Iíd put you mind at ease that we will not be getting the summit in the foreseeable future...
