They look great but they are for street use only. Both of mine poped off after their first off-road trip.

Some people have made passing comments about the reversing camera for the Laredo being upgraded due to the poor quality of the current one.

Can anyone confirm this?

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

I think I saw that the accessory plug in the boot isn't live all the time, only with the ignition on. Can anyone confirm this.
My mate who has Landcruiser Sahara told me that if he leaves the car in DRIVE or Neutral his accessory plugs stay live, I wonder if that is the same for the GC.

Picked up my new Laredo CRD yesterday with no Reversing Camera. On order.
According to workshop, delay is for the new model cameras with better vision quality.

Had a cruise around town in it yesterday, loved it, except for the external mirrors with those convex mirrors. WHY???

Any suggestions on a mirror glass change out or is it "Law"?

Better open the Manual now and get some info into this poor lil brain.

Luckily have had 10 months of continually reading Jeep Garage to get some insight into the Big Red Truck.

Bluey

Yes that is correct, but in the manual it gives instructions re relocating a fuse to make the connection a 'live' plug even when the ignition is off, good to see they give you the option.

Thanks Snuke for the info, at the moment I am tossing up between the tubular and flat ones, probably go the flat ones. Not long Snuke before yours is on the ship. Ours are both at the dock now, but for some reason mine is on the boat after yours. Then again what is another 7 days in the overall scheme of things !

Bluey I have the same issue with the limited... I use the centre rear view mirror and head turn to better judge. Maybe the aussie version was going to come standard at some stage with the electronic warning of cars next to you... but ja decided against it and forget to change back the mirrors. I never had the issue of pulling out in so small gaps until I started driving the jeep.
