Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Milous, The Oz Overland has been spec'd up for the previous'WK's. I therefore strongly suspect that tradition will continue and the Australian Overland will be different than the US counterpart.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

After spending weeks trawling through forums and news releases, it's good to know that there are some dedicated Jeep enthusiasts to assist newbies like myself make an informed decision. I to have had the run-a-round with local dealers, but at least it seems there is a process to get your name on an order. Whilst my lease plan company can't commence an order yet, I can at least start the process and have a dealer that will guarantee no more than $1000 increase in costs for a new JGC Overland. If it costs more, they will take the hit and if it is less, I get a refund. This seems fair and it will be no different than before to sit and wait for the factory to build my new Jeep. I look forward to the continued discussion. It will fill in my time.

agree on an MY12/13 Overland you would be wanting $10K+ off as you will lose this and more the minute the MY14 arrives on the dealers lot.
Most dealers are still able to fool people in to full RRP as they have no idea the MY14 even exists - and they will be mightily pissed when their "current model" MY13 is suddenly out of date a month or two after purchase..

for what it is worth my dealer has also advised that the spec for au overland MY 14 will be as per MY13.
That is what my quote was based on

That was the extent of the dealers opinion. It wasn't based on knowledge of any decision, simply based on the past approach.

Perhaps a few slight cosmetic differences, and other than specific AU equipment I find absolutely no evidence that there will be additional options that the US doesn't offer on its Overland.

Milous, is the SRT in Cherry Red available now? I've ordered one but saw a comment earlier that it is late availability? As per normal, my dealer has no idea.

Just noticed the SRT lists wheels as 5 spoke split satin carbon. These are last year's standard wheels correct? How certain are these specs for AU?

I'll double-check but I believe it's been open for awhile now.
