Thanks,

This is more of a basic reset I believe, the engineering one requires all user info/settings to be re-entered, Mute/Tune just reset it with current user settings intact.

Always try Mute/Tune first, if that is not good enough, proceed to Temp Up/Down reset.

I am book marking my own post so I can find this sequence easily again should I need to.
I was trying to find both last night to help some one on another forum.

If you haven't already, note that the up/down temp buttons are the passenger side buttons for RHD vehicles. The US instructions are for their LHD - took me a while and advice on another forum to discover that!

It would be great if every car could have its frequency response corrected with simple test.
My subwoofer drove me nuts for ages at home, so boomy even though all of the levels were correctly calibrated. Re position made next to no difference, boom boom boom. Paradigm make a calibration kit to test the frequency response of their subwoofers and correct it. My god the difference was insane. No more complaints from the misses that the walls were shaking, tight as could be.
I wonder if any of the Uconnect/Jeep Audio geniuses could offer a similar kit.
I haven't heard the MY14, and wasn't really paying attention to the MY13 we test drove, but I have seen a lot of complaints similar to yours.

The only audio thing we were looking for was that the audio kept playing in reverse. Our Pajero which has a reverse camera only (no sensors) cuts out audio when you select reverse, it drives us nuts. At least my Falcon which has sensors to beep has a slight reason to cut sound on reverse.

I was very happy to hear the music keep playing as we reversed the Jeep.

Had the same issue once in my Limited, did the reset thing and reported this to my dealer who contacted Chrysler Jeep. They sent through authorisation for replacement of the U-Connect which was done at my last visit to the Dealership.
Although the AM is still a little 'crackly' at times everything is working as it should.
( now at 3200km's and all is well).

Here's some pricing on slush mats, mud flaps and cargo barrier from Heartland Jeep (NSW). Ignore the tow hooks unless you need some paper weights.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

SJand L,

When I started my Summit journey back in January after seeing them at the launch in the US while I was there, I had the opportunity to escalate things all the way to Clive before he left and it was referred to the Northern Regional Sales Manager who actually contacted me to ask if I would wait for a Summit.

The bottom line for me was that I needed to have a vehicle in September and could not wait until late in the year or early next year. From the conversation and the follow up emails, I concluded the following some of which may pan out.

1) The Summit could be positioned close to the price of the SRT8.
2) The Summit has a limited interior colour combination and did not include the Brown/Beige I wanted with my Deep Cherry Red.
3) The AU Overland had many of the Summit features, Overland did not have adaptive headlights, Summit front Apron/grill, lower side sill panels, wheel arch treatment and slightly different rear bumper.
4) Harman Kardon Sound system, Alpine in Overland not bad.
5) Summit badging on seats and tailgate.
6) Wheels - Bright Chrome instaead of what we have in our AU Overland.

Other than that not much more, so I went for the Overland with a much cheaper price and the interior that I wanted.

Hope this helps the confusion....Regards, JosephR

Picked up the car this afternoon. When I left the car there, It had 300 kms on the clock and quarter of the tank fuel used. When I picked up it had 325 KMs and half of the tank left. That means they only drove it for 25 KMs but burnt a quarter of the tank.

One thing I noticed that first couple of gears are very noticeable. Both at pick up and when slowing down at traffic light. I will see how I go in the next day or two.

Your welcome, must admit though it had me tricked at first, the manual is a little vague in explaining the correct position for the fuse.
Maybe its the translation from American to English...

I have the same issue, but it is usually in ECO only and it doesn't do it always.

The story so farÖ Picked up my MY14 White GC Overland 3.0L CRD yesterday earlier than expected and Very Happy with the dealer. Called the RACV to get a cover note before I left the yard, no go as their computer system was down for the day and therefore unable to process the cover note, after sometime managed to get a cover note from a rival company. Put on about 100Km last night just driving around trying this and that. Very impressed with everything I touched. Just love the car.
RACV called this morning and processed another cover note. Now doubled insured, to be sure to be sure. Headed off for a nice long run day, to be sure that I donít that dreaded "Exhaust filter nearing fullĒ message that Iíve read about here. After about 18 Km on the highway I decided to try out the ACC. All I got was a message saying ACC and the forward collision warning system is unavailable. Electronic Throttle Control needs servicing. It then dropped into limp home mode. 65 Km/H and about 3,000 RPM is all it would do. Pulled over and called Jeep Assist. The vehicle has been trucked back to a holding yard then to the dealer on Monday.
For some reason I still love that car and missing it already.
Well my baby is back home after being locked up for the weekend. The dealer sent a message to pick her up at about 10:30 this morning, obviously the dealer got straight onto it as soon as the towing company dropped it off. Unfortunately I had to send the brother in-law to pick her up as Iím tied up with work over the next few days. Apparently the problem (Electronic Throttle Control needs service) was a vacuum hose had come off, not installed correctly when built. They also upgraded some software, from what to what I donít know. In any case everything is now running fine. May I suggest that we all pull and tug on every hose under the bonnet before one falls off, as it looks like the yanks are bit slack when it comes to putting them on.
Once again love the car and very happy with my dealer. (Morwell Victoria)
