Still reckon, you will see yours first though, yours will probably go via road from Melbourne. Mine has to be dropped off in Sydney, go to the dealer up there for pre delivery, then via road to Melbourne to an agency that will arrange for local registration for the vehicle and finally to me.
I'm hoping it won't be delayed by the effect of the US Govt. meltdown.
You would think that there would be enough cars from Chrysler/Jeep to make it worth while stopping the boat in Adelaide.
It's all quite stressful, but quite enjoyable.

Patient's my dear friend. I'm outtof the country at the moment and can't for the life of me work out how to forward you a copy of the build sheet from the JG app. You could always ask Milous to send you a copy, or you could wait, after all, good things come to those that wait.

Sorry peeps, but Singapore's got me till the 8 th. I won't have that comparison to post till I'm back.

It's a download link right, not an actual attachment?
If so reply to the message but remove Milous's name and put Andyp911 in instead.

I just tested this with my message from Milous with my build sheet and it worked.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Thank guys, but I ended up getting one myself, surprised how little difference there is between the Overland and Summit, different rated foam in seats, changed leather and trim, fog lights added, grille and 19 speaker stereo and chrome wheels, not much else, wonder how much JA intend slugging people, probably all up about $2k but can't see them charging any less than $7k otherwise why have both from a cost differential

People will still buy it just to say they have the top of the range blah blah...

There is the difference in perceived value between people. I have a $60 watch, it tells the time. Other people have a $2000 rollex that also tells the time. I think people who pay $2000 for a watch are idiots. They think I don't appreciate finer things. My perception of value is different to theirs. Isn't the world wonderful?

Funny thing about the watch analogy - I had a "discussion" one day with a colleague. He asked me what watch would I buy if had all the money in the world? I replied, if I had all the money in the world, I would not need a watch - because I could afford to not worry about time!!!
Moral of the story - Money Rich = Time Poor.

Is a Rolex also I don't think you will be able to buy a real Rolex for $2000, try double that for the cheapest model.

Back on topic I bet car companies make more money on their top of the range vehicle just because people want to have it.

Rolex - whatever...

But if it was a TAG, well that charges the value proposition for me completely.

Idiots is probably a bit harsh, but yeah difference is value is all personal. No doubt there are millions that think spending the money we are on a car are idiots too.

$4K+ for a Rolex, $2K should be fine for a “Rollex”

Actually, to be technical, that right there, is a Huer, before the TAG group bought them out, so even nicer in my mind.
They are more than $2K, in fact you may just love this Gulf version one that became available yesterday
Mens Tag Heuer Monaco, Ref. CAW2113

Or maybe the McQueen version
Tag Heuer Monaco Steve McQueen Limited Edition Ref. CS2110

Not associated with them, just on their mailing list.

If you watch Breaking Bad, you may have noticed that Walter White was given a Monaco as a birthday present.

Going back to your actual point, 100% agree.
I am personally a bit like that with tech things, if I know there is something that could be faster at doing whatever it does, I want it. I am getting better though, I no longer care if a newer version of whatever comes out that is “better” than mine, now I only care when it is time to replace/upgrade etc..
A couple of the brands I distribute are just like this, all the volume is in the top end, the worst sellers are the cheapest models that everyone can easily afford; the opposite to most consumer products.

Wait longer and you might get a better unit. Finally got rear mudflaps + reversing camera fitted after waiting 2 months. Works fine through day , but darker the night , the worse the picture quality is (very dark + foggy). Very blurry and VERY DISSAPPOINTING. Took over a month to get front mudflaps + towbar, which were all meant to be on it on pick up. I have to travel over 350 kms return each time I visit the dealership. Should charge them for fuel costs. But vehicle itself is great and a pleasure to drive.Wife has claimed it, might have to get Doctor too cut her ass off the drivers seat so I can get a drive. Our screen also has map button in right corner sometimes.
