Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

On my way to Geelong today called in on the Werribee dealership. The manager was not in so only spoke to a young salesman so may not know too much. He said they only had 3x Laredo's, 3 Limited's, 1 V8 Overland new and one Overland (demo) left to sell from current stock on hand. He did not know if their dealership still had any in storage. Expected to sell out soon. Said Chrysler Aust anxious to get the 2014's on the floor. The brand new Silver Overland was in the showroom (V8) The sign on from window said $77K something, now $69K something. Cannot remember the minor dollars. He thought, and remember, he is only a salesman but was of the opinion that the first lot of orders could well be distributed to end buyers in July. Who knows, but there is a chance I suppose.

What do you mean Milous. Doesn't our Overland have more specs than the US Overland. If it does not then that would mean they have removed specs from the MY13's. That would also indicate they are still looking at bringing in the Summit. That list at #1 post I am sure has a lot more on it than your US Overland.

Most dealers are still able to fool people in to full RRP as they have no idea the MY14 even exists - and they will be mightily pissed when their "current model" MY13 is suddenly out of date a month or two after purchase..
Robo, the young dealer today said almost all people coming in now know about the MY14. That is why they are dropping prices. He said their are people who do not want to wait and are taking advantage of the discounts now being offerred.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Love the post Iwantanotherjeep. Thought you were talking about Joan Wilder and became concerned. One Jeep goes in the river, the Ford and Toyota survive and the second jeep has the boss onboard. I reread the post and all is clear now. Cant wait for the 2014 Overland.

One of an Overland. Not much point posting clips of Summits seeing we probably won't get them. Great cars Milous. Can't wait to see them in the flesh. "Iwantanotherjeep" was blown away with face to face contact. I remember the guys in the Detroit factory saying how good it looked in real life. Much better than all these press pics/video clips.

Just hit the multi-quote button (the +>> one next to 'quote') instead of replying to mutiple quotes in multiple posts. Makes things much easier to read, and people won't pick on you then

Can't seem to find anything (other than items required in your market).

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

we have this circular argument a lot..

from the evidence presented; here is my take on it
The MY14 AU Overland will be the same as the MY14 US Overland BUT it seems the AU version will have standard those packages that are options in the US such as the QDII, the Advanced Technology Group (ADG). - this is based on what Milous has seen on the production line i.e. all the petrol RHD Overlands for AU had these features - of course there is no guarantee the options will be standard but if not, the vehicle is going backwards in spec and i doubt they would do this.

The items on the MY14 Summit that the MY14 Overland does not have and are not options are-
Wont have the Harman Kardon 825W 19 speaker sound
Wont have the suede look headliner
wont have the Adaptive headlights
Wont have the Natura leather seats ( has Nappa)
Wont have the "High Bling" 20" wheels
Wont have Summit look front end.. and other blingy bits
some other trivial stuff.. mostly bling

Yes the 11/12/13 AU Overland was different to the 11/12/13 US Overland as we got the 11/12/13 US Overland-Summit spec.

The MY14 AU Overland with the added options will be equal in spec to the 11/12/13 AU Overland ( plus the 8speed auto, 8.4" screen, new look etc etc) or again as above will be going backward in spec ( ADG and QD11 currently standard on Overland 5.7 & CRD)
