Some of those are not Summit exclusive items, some show on my Limited build sheet. Certain items re tracking may be date related.

So the upgrades/differences over/to the Overland are:

RCAS: 19 SPKRS High Perf Audio
LMQS: Adaptive Bi-Xenon HID Headlamps
MF1S: Body Color Grille w/Chrome Inserts
WSCS: 20X8.0 Aluminum Polished Wheels
*HL: Leather Trimmed Bucket Seats
C1CP: #3 Seat Foam Cushion
JJAP: Cigar Lighter
RDHP: 825 Watt Amplifier
Yes thats right, i can only compare to my build sheet. Just to clarify, the Summit didnt have JJAP: Cigar Lighter. looks like you have to order an Overland if you want that.

A cigar lighter no less.

Well, that just changes everything. I want one of those (I might need lessons on how to light the thing but nevermind that).

Actually, is that the crappy cup-holder/hide the cigar thing that I already have in the Overland? That is useless - for anything.

For $25 that's pretty good.. I have since upgraded to Lifetime, partly because I think I will be here a few years and its good value, but also as a way of supporting the guys who put in a lot of work on our behalf. Jeep Garage - Jeep Forum The downloads on the UConnect 8.4 - 13.39.51 International - VIP thread are the international version, with instructions. You want the one which says Australia, NZ, etc for RJ4 radios. Absolutely better than waiting for the dealer - mine didn't even have a copy of the version my car came with! Willx also says that the install is very robust. If anything does go wrong, then starting again fixes it. other than me though, there are a couple of others who have done it with no problems at all. No responsibility take though! Thanks, Russell
I can confirm that this update is possible for us here in Australia. I just upgraded my Uconnect to ver 13.39.51 and the process was simple and easy to perform. I note that the navigation hasn't changed with VR or sending a message on my phone, but at least the system seems quicker. I'll check out the VR and media functions tomorrow while driving to see if I can get more response in track recognition. Just thought I'd let you know it is possible for all those still stuck on ver 13.39.4.

Update - I can report that the media functions are far more responsive to VR and the music loads quicker on my SD card. There are some extra settings available like mirror dimming on/off and the side mirrors now dip when in reverse. The upgrade took about 20 mins to complete and there are 10 in-systems updated through this change to 13.39.51. It was worth the effort to complete this without waiting for the dealer to let us know that there was an update. I'm still waiting to be told.

I can't can't see any ref on my build sheet but I still have ask.....
  • Does anyone know if we get an accoustic front windscreen (Limited)
  • Are "Trail Rated" badges still put on vehicles that qualify.
(9 days at 'Ramp Compare' I hope they have a boat coming to our village soon).

They're crap. We have 18" and took a very large nail a few days ago to one. Not the fault of the tyre, it would have knocked out the best of them, however when husband took it off and replaced it with the spare, I guess it was the first time over the last 3 months that we really looked at the wear.

He reckons another 10,000kms and they will need replacing. (Currently sitting close to 8,000kms).

Without mentioning anything about this to the tyre place this morning, when I took it in to be fixed, he also mentioned about the Km's on the clock vs the wear that he saw on the tyres.

To that end, we are in the market for a new set. Recommendations please.

So, Overland with ORAII (so 18" needed).

No real off-roading to speak of but need something that will handle a steep gradiant in wet grass and mud ie: our acreage.

General driving is off main-route roads with dodgy surfaces.

Currently on '07 JGC are Hankooks which appear to be ok - probably have 50,000kms out of them so far - maybe need to look at them more closely next pink-slip check which will be in 12 months.

Recommendations please oh wise ones.

The tyre guy has recommended Toyo. He has them on his LandCruiser and is very pleased.

Thoughts on what we should buy? (Budget is not a constraint).
Tyre's are a subjective thing.

I strongly object paying the stupid prices most are demanding
$450 plus per tyre you have to be kidding me.

I have no just replaced mine 18" standard tyre's for a chinese made tyre
Its an AT and looks and drives great
They balanced up well only slightly more noisy then the standard tyre which is what i expected going from a road tyre to a AT
Used them off road over the recent long week end and were good better than expected
They have a higher speed rating and load rating than the standard tyre so all good on insurance
I i think if i have to buy 2 sets in the next 80,000 kms then i will still have money in my pocket.
