$1,000 bucks for a tow bar, I would be happy with that considering the dealer supplying my vehicle has quoted close on $2k to supply and fit. Thought about going elsewhere but want to make sure warranty is Ok and no issues will be towing close on 3 tonne some stage after retiring.

I did contact Frankston Jeep being one of the local dealers I was going to get it serviced at a few weeks ago to get a price to supply and install a tow bar but they have never contact me back. Has anyone used Jeep Frankston to get their vehicle serviced at or what is the going price to supply and fit a tow bar.

Thanks for your reply.
I'm thinking the same as you. if its not one the car I'll be adding one myself, maybe even one on the tailgate.....

Hi Andy, I ordered my car from Frankston Jeep with a tow bar to be fitted. I understand this is done at the dealership before delivery.
Edit: $1045 + taxes

Andy, my towbar and wiring was dealer fitted for $1300. Electric brake controller was fitted for another $700. Also, note that Shanden was talking about having a tow hook fitted for $1000 .... this is nearly as good as my $400 mud flap quote ... ordered them from the States and did them myself in about 90mins for $120 all up!

From the prices quoted for a towbar supply and fit, I think I received a pretty good deal. The dealer to supply and fit a genuine towbar $659(before lux car tax and stamp duty).

I had my towbar installed at the dealer before we picked it up and had the break controller fitted and Anderson plug for under $1900.00 but they installed a 7 Pin Plug instead of 12 Pin. I have also received the order number to have the reversing camera, mud flaps and the 7 pin changed to 12 pin plug done on the 26th by the service agent up here. They posted the camera up to me plus mud flaps last week. I pointed out to them that the mud flaps were included on the build sheet and they had no qualms about suppling them.
I also updated the radio to 13.39.51 last night with only losing radio channel settings, and module 10 does not install as it is for DAB radio. The reason the file is so large is because it also contains updates for Fiat, Dodge rams etc. I still cannot use VR for Messaging, the icon does not light up, am I doing something wrong or is it permanently disabled.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Have also upgraded Peanut and tested messaging this morning. It works well so not sure what's happening your side. Your type of phone maybe? The only thing is, it would be nice to send free-format messages but you need to register with Uconnect to do that via the Apps button which of course is a feature not available here (yet?).

Sorry, should say that (didn't count them) but maybe 20 preset messages are available to use. Things like, I'm running late, where are you?, stuck in traffic etc - that sort of thing.

A text sent is displayed on the phone as 'Sent from my Jeep'
