I bought one from JustForJeep and fixed it just above the blinker. Looks shmick if somewhat pretentious. They go on the driver's side, left in the States, right here. Best investment I ever made. For $35+postage, I think I increased the resale value of the Jeep by $1,000.
There is not a problem with fitting the 'Trail Rated' badges in the correct place on a MY14 as the side blinkers are in the mirrors.

I did my upgrade this afternoon. After the upgrade on switching the ignition off and opening the door, steering wheel went right up, driver seat moved back and car went down. If this is called auto entry/exit then it worked for me.

ITS NOT WORKING ANYMORE SEE BELOW POST:

You bloody ripper, it's on the boat. As some of you predicted it will be unloaded in Melbourne on the 10 Nov and sent overland to Adelaide.

Might just have a glass of red now.........

I did contact Frankston Jeep being one of the local dealers I was going to get it serviced at a few weeks ago to get a price to supply and install a tow bar but they have never contact me back. Has anyone used Jeep Frankston to get their vehicle serviced at or what is the going price to supply and fit a tow bar.
Andy, I was refering to a front tow hook not tow bar. I have been quoted $1100 for a tow bar fitted which I am happy with but $1000 for a tow hook on the front for something that shouldnt be an option on a 4wd is a bit steep.

I'd like a set because I'm used to much more clearance, but my partner assures me I'm able to avoid crunching the sills. I'll see if she remembers in the event I don't!

Most definitely but I'm surprised one would even consider taking them off after spending hours to put them on. Oddly enough, my wife who has a congenital hip malformality, never like the side-steps. She felt insecure on the black plastic imitation rubber checker plate pads. However, despite the rock-rail not having any pads, she likes them and uses them because they feel so rock solid.

Try another dealer. They were charging between $400 and $500 when the hooks first came out.

Tonsberg..jpg

For Snuke and others, copy of web cam shot of MV Tonsberg going thru the Panama Canal last weekend, now only about 20 days until it hits Sydney, or better say arrives not hits.

Salmo, great to hear that yours is now on board and should be heading away soon. Do you know the website that you can have tracking and auto notifications for the ship, if not I will send you the link, you can track and also get auto notifications each time it comes back in range again for land radar ?

Just hope this doesn't happen to your ship that happened to one of the sister ships a few years ago full of brand new BMW's. Sunk in shallow water in English Channel and had to be cut into sections and taken away, cars and all........lol !

Attached is a picture of the Oberon(the green and white ship), which arrived at the Port of Brisbane this morning with my Overland.
Now all I have to do is wait for PrixCars to process it and get it do the dealer.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Good luck with Prix Cars, WarrenK.

Took them over a month for mine from arrival at port melbourne to Frankston. Even then it was only after severe agitation from moi to senior Chrysler Fiat management :-(

If any one has purchased a full set of bash plates (supply only) from a dealer and you're happy to divulge such info, could you please let me know what you paid? Feel free to PM me if you'd rather not post it up.
