Just noticed that It started at lower kms than I first thought at 381kms. The second one was at around 1200kms
This is a great help.
Will keep an eye on it.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Does Australian Overland come standard with Quadra Drive-II system? When I ordered my car I asked for Quadra Drive-II. My dealer told me that it comes with this system. I just checked my build sheet which lists Quadra Trac-II in standard equipment and Quadra Drive-II in optional equipment. Do I have the optional equipment listed in my build sheet (I can confirm some of them)? How do you check which system is installed in your car?

Yep overland has QD. That is why the ORA option is cheaper for overland. Pretty sure the build sheets show only the options that you have. Possibly QD is optional on us overland which is why it shows up as optional on the build sheet.

QT is standard for the Overland in the US, which is why it will appear under Optional Equipment on your build sheet, even though it is standard for Aus.

AWBP Quadra-Drive II (R) 4WD System

You can see QD as standard on Aus Overland here:
Compare Models - Grand Cherokee

"Optional Equipment" will probably start to show on the bottom of Page 3 on your Build Sheet.

Yep, there is possibly a point where the U-Connect might spit the dummy over the size of the hard drive, but the 80Gb drive I had in the cupboard has worked faultlessly since I connected it. I actually never really used the drive when it was "big" as it had an appetite for USB power that many devices wouldn't put up, but as with charging phones properly, the Jeep has plenty of juice available for it.

Fits in the centre stack... just.

Cheers,
Steve

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

I will give my 160GB a go at some point when I get our car and let you know.
I will end up with a spare 500GB doing nothing at the end of November so I will try that too.

Although I will have a brake controller in the cubby, so it probably won't stay there.
Pity the system doesn't take SDXC cards (like the camera I purchased the card for) as I have 64GB SD card that would work nicely.

Wow, I have never seen the regeneration in progress message. I too have the speedo set up for fuel mileage but I don't think that is the issue as I did get the same message when it was 100% full, but too late by then. The dealer did say it has an active DPF, the earlier models may have been different because (if my memory serves me correctly) they had a different diesel engine, though still a 3.0l V6.

I was planning on using a 500g also. I'm guessing it won't play DVD's via the USB, I liked the DVD in my old car, great while I waiting for the other half.

Optional equipment in my build sheet also show head lamp washers. I don't have those.

Yes you would. They now pop out from the center of the black plastic bit just under the head light.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Just been reading about all this dpf regen stuff, and at 11k , I have certainly not seen it, but then no one could accuse me of driving for economy.

Speaking of which I had a go at driving for economy yesterday and managed an average 7.6l per 100. Just trying to get a 100okm to a tank and calm myself..... Now have to sort out a 1st service and prepare myself for sticker shock........

Incidentally my EVIC Xmas lights has never recurred, and nor has the centre blackout recurred - so I'm not going to be getting those looked at under warranty - just a software update
