Im not sure thats true but hey Jeep do as they please when they please .. Personally i think a 2WD SUV is a waste of time, just buy a station wagon. I can only see it diluting the jeeps brand image, maybe on the toy vehicles like compass and patriot but the Grand Cherokee is meant to be the flagship model, why cheapen It with low price entry level models.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Spoke to a dealer I know very well and is very helpful. Would recommend him to anyone.
He is still very confident that buyers in the first wave of orders will see their CRD cars in the June/July time frame. The second wave will be August. He said the reason why E numbers will not be released yet is because the cars have not been released in Australia yet. He is confident the orders are lodged and in the build system but no numbers will be given to the dealers for tracking until the car is actually released.
I mentioned how Milous had seen two Summits addressed to Port Melbourne, Australia to which he did not have any comment to make other than to state that he is very confident the Summit is not coming but did not discount it being introduced some time in the future. I have found this dealer more open to discussion than others I have spoken to. Very friendly and helpful. I am sure he will sell lots of cars and good luck to him. Having said that, if I am to take an Overland then I DON'T want that Summit to come.

G'day Milous, I noticed according to your list you can get the ventilated seats on the USA Limited model as an option but not on the Export model as an option. Is this true?

No. The lists I posted do not include all of the color/seat variations.

Kevin, you need to look at other threads, not just this one. For example Grand Cherokee + sand = FAIL

Seem to have read somewhere the 2WD Grand Cherokee has the higher towing rate than the 4WD.

Fixed on the 14 as its a separate setting and programming on the selector dial.

Mud and sand together was probably not the best design to begin with, as the traction control programming would be a compromise between both

Thanks Milous, you really do work overtime on these threads and I do appreciate all the information you provide. Also a big shout out to Scott who provides this great forum.

Back to my order, after seeing the billet in a couple of photos, I'm hoping it has the same effect on me when I see it in real life as the black Limited did on my trip to the USA. So far I've found the billet a bit underwhelming in the photos.
