No, most still have not been fitted.

Crap it is, and demand that it be swapped out for the genuine one when it becomes available at no charge.

The third time all you experienced above happened and I freaked. Over the next couple of hours I restarted the motor a few times and it fixed itself - been fine since.
What I figured out is that each of those times I was overzealous applying the high pressure hose in the car wash (all these bugs come out in spring spoiling my new car) and had obviously affected all those damned sensors around the car. Once the great beast dried out and settled itself down, it went back to normal.
I have had no trouble before or after and I'm sure it was simply the car wash hose used too diligently and close to the car, particularly the front grill.
Think back if there was a similar occurrence with you (heavy rain, hail???)Cheers
Col
Colozzie.

Have had plenty of rain, but none really that align with the issues.

Posted last night with the results from the diagnostics yesterday which appear to have found an issue.

I picked mine up just on 2 weeks ago. It had the camera fitted already. As I mentioned in another thread, it works fine but needs the lens wiped after rain or dust. I noticed this morning when I went to hook up the camper that the markings on the screen are not quite aligned with the vehicle. I'll get that looked at in a week or so.

I had the sales manager of a big dealership admit to me that the camera is after market
and was fitted under contract because the real mccoy was'nt available.

This camera is crap and he was'nt aware of this and i felt that if the matter was pursued they may change it.
Has anyone else had any feed back on this?
Can the problem be rectified by a camera with better quality optics?
Is any one else disapointed in there reversing camera?

Elvin
I have an MY12 Laredo and the camera works fine but I believe it is also an after-market unit and dealer fitted. The backup sensors are also after-market dealer fitted. They work fine but the wiring is atrocious. The control box was lying loose in the wheel well, see the pic. I tidied it up and secured it. To be honest, I'm not sure if these items were fitted by the dealer or the detailing yard prior to delivery to the dealer but they sure as hell weren't factory fitted.

All,

This is the link lists all jeep service bulletins and recalls, some of which cover problems members experienced. It's a handy reference.

Jeep Grand Cherokee WK2 - Grand Cherokee Service Bulletins and Recalls

Thanks for that mmcrh. very useful.

Received another useful email document yesterday too!.
It was a Nielson "Please share your Jeep purchase experience."
It advised that it would take only about 20 minutes to complete!

Nielsen [acnsurvey@nielsen.com] Obviously promoted by Chrysler Jeep Aust. PM me if not received and I can forward the Survey email.

By the time I finished with them it took an hour for me to do

From the initial dealer purchase to the final Jeep delivery 10 months later, they got the full picture of my experience, AND it wasnt pretty reading.
Both barrels!!

So, lets hope many of you new JGC MY14 owners complete the Survey for as they say on the email; Your feedback makes the difference!! Ive invited them strongly to get back to me for some (a lot) of constructive criticism. See if they take up my offer??

Hymer, I received the same email. As I'm away (running it in, just over 2000km so far) for the next week, I'll complete the survey once I get back. I also want to see how the dealer handles a few warranty issues, just to complete the picture

John

Received the same email today also. I don't have any issues to complain about so it was pretty straight forward.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Random **fluff** post from me.

Did you know you could say to the VR, 'Change REAR Passenger temperature to xxx degrees?'

... and it does.

Just mucking around with child in the back and gave it the VR command, not expecting it do anything but 'VR Girl' reported rear passenger temp change and child confirmed the coldness in the back.

We thought it only did front occupants. Not detailed in the manual either, that I could find.

Possibly I was the only one that didn't know this however.

I certainly didn't know it. It is a bit strange, because cars which can separately control the rear vents promote themselves as having "Tri-zone" climate control, where our is the lesser "dual zone". I checked mine and it is the same as yours - even the confirmation message says "rear", so its not a misunderstanding by the VR.
Couldn't check if the temp changing though as it was so hot any setting would have been blowing max cold.
Thanks, Russell

Exactly. VR girl repeats the 'rear' business back to you.

Regardless of what said child says though (he's convinced it was blowing 15 degrees in the back whilst at the front we had 21 degrees synch'ed), it's just too small a space I think to be sure. It's so hot and smokey outside, that anything less than the outside temp feels like an arctic breeze at the moment.

The tri-zone climate feature is available on the Chrysler Dodge Grand Caravan though. Maybe they got the Uconnect software mixed up. (kidding)

Speaking of smokey outside, the Recirculation control works a treat as well - no smoke in the cabin at all.
