Yep, the driveaway price for the Overland on the jeep au site is $76,800, then $650 for the offroad pack. So about $5k more than the LTD with the DL and QDII options. For that extra money I'd get the pano-sunroof (not that keen on it), wooden steering wheel, more leather trim and lots of electronic gizmos. I'd rather save the $5k and put it towards tyres and rims, roof rack, rock rails, tow bar and a recovery hook.

But I guess it will depend on what deal I can get on which model. I didn't think they were moving at all on the list price, but looking at the responses in here, there seems to be some wriggle room, maybe.

Thanks.

Regardless of what said child says though (he's convinced it was blowing 15 degrees in the back whilst at the front we had 21 degrees synch'ed), it's just too small a space I think to be sure. It's so hot and smokey outside, that anything less than the outside temp feels like an arctic breeze at the moment.
I had a play with the other day, and whilst VR girl does think she is changing the rear temperature ... it actually does stuff all.
However, I think the placebo effect will me enough for my kids.

As far as I can tell, the rear vent blows a mix of driver and passenger air, I had the passenger set to very warm and the driver set to very cold and the rear vent blew warm air, setting driver and passenger to cold made the rear vent cold.

That seems a good price, list price with the ORAII and QL should be about $60k on the road in QLD. You are getting the Laredo almost $15k less than the LTD list price with those options, plus a nudge bar. They are good value at that price. Worth a think about........

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

I bought a Jeep!

Having said that it is a MY14 Silver Billet Limited CRD. What a beast. I went out to buy a Laredo to tow my 22 ft van and came back with the Limited.

Reasons:

Much nicer inside and I love the smell of leather, sound system superior, sat nav invaluable to me, and the reverse camera is fully integrated with bumper sensors which enables me to reverse onto my van with confidence (marriage saver. LOL ). Clarity of camera also superior.

Finally the price in Qld, $62,200 drive away with tow bar, mats, bonnet protector, full tinting and some Kote protection. Insurance from Suncorp, $494 full comprehensive.

cheers

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

No secret, I was the fifth car bought from Garry Crick, I love the way they cut to the chase. I have been extremely happy with their service and they know their products.
In my opinion, there is now a substantial difference between the Laredo and the Limited, unlike in the previous model.
I found that because the Laredo are so popular, the Limited model may offer a better bargain. The leather seats also seem more comfortable than the material ones?

Ok, there seems to be a few recommending crick, might have to go by their Mt Gravatt yard next week. The Moorooka sales guy was suggesting $68k, plus $7k for the options. But I think he was trying to push me to an overland.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Does anyone know what is the "typical" amount of time Prixcar takes to process a car from the arrival into the port to dealer?
