Yep, forgot the overland came in v6 petrol. I'll have to go to cricks and see what they say on prices, if I can save $5k with the limited then I'd put that towards the extras.

Thanks for the input, I was going to put this off for a few months, but getting very interested now.

And then I could keep the 20inch wheels, and buy 18s and skid plates rather than the ORA pack. I'm planning on buying different 18s anyway, don't like the Laredo rims.

However, I do want the beige interior, not likely to find one of those in stock.

Got to get to cricks.
True I have to wait for 5 months however I rather have exactly what I want and not too worried about what badge is on it. I have a set of my14 20s in the garage waiting for the car and got some Yokohama Parada tyres coming for the 20's. Will get a set of Pirelli ATRs for the 18's.

If you want different 18s, I was at the Albion dealership the other day and they said these ones are on special, think it was $1080 for 4, plus GST. I will probably go for them:

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

I paid $81K for my Overland CRD. This included premium paint, paint protection, leather protection, front windows tint, free 3 years scheduled services, additional 3 years scheduled services at capped price ($295 each) and additional 3 years roadside assistance.

I added side steps ($503), Fog lamp chrome garnish ($54), chrome side mirror covers ($90), Door sill protection ($80), chrome lift gate cover ($39), chrome rear wiper cover ($60), chrome front grille inserts ($21) and shipping for these items ($90).

Jeep was ordered on 16/08/2013 and picked up on 16/09/2013.

Hello everyone.
Picking up Overland CRD tomorrow. Metallic paint, tow bar, tint for $75,980 d/away in Adelaide. Told by most dealers that price pretty much take it or leave it due to supply/demand issues. Pretty happy with final price and service so far.
Are there any particular issues/updates etc I should be checking have been completed before taking delivery? I have tried to check other threads to get an idea of recurring issues but found it difficult to work out the current issues as opposed to more historical problems that have been identified and addressed.
Any advice greatly appreciated. First Jeep, hopefully the real world experience will be as good as all the research suggests.
Thanks again for all the info and advice within the JG, it has made some of the decisions to buy a lot easier.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

I'm sure you'll enjoy your car. As I said I have only had my Limited CRD for a day or so, and it does take a lot to please me, but this car is amazing. I cannot believe the gadgets in this thing. There is nothing like it in it's class.

BTW, and sorry to sound like a Crick salesperson but they also have a 6 year 200k warranty that comes with every knew car.

I would also test them out on insurance. They have access to all the companies at trade price. As I said previously, my vehicle is now insured with suncorp for $494 full comprehensive with windscreen cover.

I mention this as if you break a windscreen on the new Jeep you could be up for $2500 plus. The windscreens have to be compatible with the electronics in the rear vision mirror. My windscreen cover is for $49.

cheers

They told me that as well, but the vehicle needs to be serviced exclusively by them, which I don't see that as a problem.

Mine was about 2.5 weeks. Bought in Sydney.

Its not, I have had my Subaru/Triton/Mercedes/Magna/serviced by them since 2004. Never had one mistake in 10 years. Could be luck or good management?

Try nearly FIVE weeks in Melbourne!! From the date of landing in the Port of Melbourne to the Frankston dealer. Excuses were re the large number of MY14's coming in.

Solve the problem Prickscar; employ more people and solve the unemployment problem as well.

Major excuse was; certification of vehicle to Aust Standards.

WRONG; that whole process takes one half hour (1/2 hour) Putting a sticker on is really time consuming!!

Time taken to get from Prickscar to Frankston was nearly as long from Marylands USA to Melbourne by ship!!

Hey Hymer,

I am going through this as we speak - nobody knows where my car is - somehow lost between Prix Cars and dealer.
