Major excuse was; certification of vehicle to Aust Standards.

WRONG; that whole process takes one half hour (1/2 hour) Putting a sticker on is really time consuming!!

Time taken to get from Prickscar to Frankston was nearly as long from Marylands USA to Melbourne by ship!!

This issue is not just with Jeep dealers
I had the very same issue with another branded car
Too over 5 weeks for car to come from Brisbane wharf to Brisbane dealer
I could have pushed it to the dealer in half that time.

It seems the transport company run the distribution system
Or totally incompetent system

Domo, I did hear that they take the new deliveries up to the Great Sandy Desert and try them out before delivery

just to make sure of Quality Control

Yours has taken only three weeks so far. be patient and you may get it before Christmas

Don't laugh, it did actually come from Newcastle where the vessel discharged, then delayed due to fires, and supposedly delivered last night to dealer....I've actually been checking directly with Prix Cars. Dealer checked status which shows car delivered to dealer - but not there...

I've been here all along checking each day reading. Have noticed Hymer's stunning machine with his "bling". Good to see SNUKES to become an MY14 Owner AND slandL can heat her back seats etc. My car has just clocked 3900Km which I collected in mid-June. Working everyday doesn't leave too many driving experiences to comment about on this forum so it is time for me to take a back seat for a while.
Someone a while ago did raise or ask the question of me whether I have any magic formula's with Werribee Jeep but the answer is no. Because I have done so little K's it will be on the 6 monthly service rather than the 10,000k's before I get back there for Uconnect Updates and to have a face to face talk with them about service and looking after clients.

I have spoken to them though verbally severally weeks ago when someone on the forum asked if I had any magic left. No, I have lost my wand. Spoke to Val at the time and he said the new manager has changed policy. They are under instructions not to win sales on best price any longer. The new boss's strategy is that the MY14 is such a good car they have no need to. They have been told to win sales by providing good service......so, I actually did not lose my wand. I threw it away in disappointment. As you all know I am in retailing and that is the wrong strategy. Our policy is not to charge people for "good service". At our business we consider service is freely given not something to charge for.
You build your reputation on always providing excellence in service. Word of mouth is your strongest resource. Far less expensive to have every customer acting as a representative for you than paying for expensive advertising. For a while there I gave Werribee heaps of praise because they were giving good service AND THE BEST PRICE.

So service has nothing to do with our prices. When customers come in we encourage them to ask for a deal. Many times we will not move because we know the market, we know our everyday price is boardering on "sale prices", we know value, supply & demand rules etc. BUT where we can we always try and give the best price. We keep an eye on our competitors and always try and beat or match them. Yes, it is not always possible and we lose sales but we never set out to charge our customers for what we believe is our superior service, knowledge and advice. That is provided freely. So I am now going to "cut & paste" this post and send it to Val, the Sales Manager because he is a really nice guy. However, if he has been overridden by the General Manager then so be it. I am hoping when I am next in for my 6 monthly service (rather than the 10,000K) I can raise all these issues again with them. I'd like to think Val just may be able to reach into his cupboard and hand me another magic wand (with the GM's blessing). Who know's. One can only hope. In the meantime I just hope to clock a few more K's up. Haven't got in the beast for 3 weeks now.

So Shannon is no longer there, or just no longer manager?

There is nothing like it in it's class. BTW, and sorry to sound like a Crick salesperson but they also have a 6 year 200k warranty that comes with every knew car. I would also test them out on insurance. They have access to all the companies at trade price. As I said previously, my vehicle is now insured with suncorp for $494 full comprehensive with windscreen cover. I mention this as if you break a windscreen on the new Jeep you could be up for $2500 plus. The windscreens have to be compatible with the electronics in the rear vision mirror. My windscreen cover is for $49. cheers
Thanks for the 'heads up' , I have now re-insured with Suncorp via Cricks auto and saved over $200. Also took out the extended Warranty for extra 3 years + 100,000km.
Well worth it.

After over 30 years in business I agree with your comments 100 %, too many businesses today have an attitude that has become 'take it or leave it'. Consumers today are smarter and expect better treatment and competitive pricing. That GM won't have a job for long when the sales start to diminish.
When we were pushed on price and there was not much left to bargain with, we brought out the 'Freebees' A sale lost is a sale lost forever and that means possible repeat business too.
Again, well said...
