Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Well dropped the car in at the service agent here at 7am to get the reversing camera and mudflaps fitted, (12 pin plug still an issue) and received a phone call at 1.30pm and asked to come down. half the interior of the car pulled apart and turns out wrong camera and wiring sent up. It will have to sit there a week minimum till a new camera and cables are found and sent up here. Not a happy camper and have told them we need it next weekend no later, cannot see this happening though so just as well we still have the Patrol to get around in.

For how long customers will suffer like that due to dealers' or service agents' incompetency.

I don't know how some customer are able to insure their car with Suncorp for around $500 / year. I have rating 1 for many years and online quote with Suncorp is $1715.

F%%^ off!!!! Tell them to put it back together so you can have it. Then they can call you when the right part comes in. Pathetic service.

All I can say is W O W, the thing is quick. If the numbers work out, I am in one.
Which dealer is stupid enough to let people drive one?

As for ACC with stop/start.... pffft what a wank of a feature!

Who would shell out $90k and not drive one first?
I had no problem getting dealers to let me try one on first.

Me! Although I did drive 2 of the previous model.

Let me re state my comment, which stupid dealer now has a USED MY14 that lets be honest, probably wont be looked after, and then will be sold to some unsuspecting poor soul.

If you look at prices for the MY13 models on carsales, they STILL aren't discounting them much (SRT's anyway)

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

The Car was a "Press Car", so it had already been loosened up for me
I had my 8yo son and his mate in the back, with me and the dealer in the front.

The Stop/Start I think is a bit over rated from what I have read from people using it. As long as it has the ACC, I am happy.
I could not believe the speed of this thing off the line, with out the launch control. I have owned many fast cars, but this would be the quickest out of the hole. It does shit me they do not have the flipper glass anymore, as I would use it 10x more than the boot.

The Hemi sound is just a huge bonus

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Picked up my white MY14 diesel Limited with ORAII on Sat from Waitara. Fantastic car!

I got a metal JEEP keyring, a bottle of wine and 2 small boxes of chocolates (which i thought were keyrings until i was told what they really were). Why do they put so much tyre black on the tyres, it has flicked up onto the duco

It did not come with a 'CRD' badge on the tailgate, it came with a green 'DIESEL' badge instead! Not the 'ECO DIESEL' badge. Also Michelin tyres came on the 18 inch rims not Kuhmo tyres like the early builds. Mine is a August build, so MY14.5 if you want to call it that.

Matter of interest did you also have QL or just the ORAII?

You've already told us you are a lead foot with your Overland. I'd stay well away from the MY14 SRT unless your planning a lot of walking in the future. For the life of me, and at the risk of repeating myself for the umpteenth time. What the hell do you need a "launch button" for?

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Hi all

About two weeks ago my radio stopped working so I went to service department thinking it may be a reset of the computer. They told me that the radio has to be replaced. The sat nav works with turn by turn and speed warnings but has no memory of favourite locations and blue tooth connection to phone dose not work. Has any one else had this problem as I seem to recall that Webber may have had a similar situation.

Thanks
