Awesome, car just got delivered to the dealer and should be able to pick it up at the end of the week (so 15 day for prix cars to get it from port Kembla to penrith, not too bad after reading how long others have had to wait)

As for insurance I can't get under $1200 either.

Wow, no wonder the Swans get a cost of living allowance on top of their salary cap

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

I was using around the $800 excess mark when getting my quotes, just waiting for the dealer to let me know what dealer price they can get me through Allianz.

Woolworths Insurance (underwritten by Hollard Insurance) $840, $600 excess, including windscreen of course.
No extra charge to have it as a monthly payment.

$95.66 extra if I choose to get 20 days of hire car cover.

None yet, its going in tomorrow. Was booked in for the oil leak, called them today to advise them of the free christmas tree that we got on the weekend, and the service guy asked my wife if she tried turning it off and on again..... like wtf? ..... my wife responded with, no, its still running in the garage.

I had time to ponder about it today, and its probably an ABS sensor thats gone haywire, and sent some corrupt data on the BUS, each computer went into fault mode as they didnt know what to do with the corrupt data.

Keep you posted.

Hey Domo10 I insured with Commonwealth but went to see them in person. Cost me $820 plus an extra $116 for windscreen, hire car options. Excess is $550. The only catch is not to let anyone under 30 years of age drive it which is fine by me. If I change this restriction the price skyrockets - bit like the launch button!

Remember with these guys, restricting the kilometres makes a huge difference.
Even though I set it at 18,000km per year, it did not drop until I selected the restrict option.

That's a really good premium. I am struggling to get under $1200.00. I suppose I just have to be happy with that. Better get my arse into gear I'm picking up my ride tomorrow!!
