Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Very out of character for Jeep Aus to admit the Summit exists.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Hey All
Just going back a few weeks - I just fitted my 'chrome' side strips (or officially called "Jeep Grand Cherokee Chrome Body Side Line Moulding Protector Cover MY2014") and they look fantastic . Really sets off the sides of the beast - brings it to life. They really should have supplied them with the model. Took 1.5 weeks delivered from E-bay. They really stand out against the Granite - not sure if they would stand out as well on a lighter colour.
I'm thinking about those headlight surrounds that Webber mentioned the other day. Has anyone bought these and how do they look?
My missus thinks they will add too much bling .

Best advice Snuke - check out as many as you can find - be careful of restrictions as well as excess.

I found one of the most expensive was Youi - contrary to all the TV ads currently. I guess they have to pay for them somehow.

I'll wait for a sunny day and take some shots. Note this could take another week or so in Melbourne! Had some great weather lately .
I haven't posted any photos as yet so see how I go.

We have a Granite coming too, I have a set of these being watched on eBay as well.
Not sure if we will go for it though

Are these the same as yours?

Yeah, same ones Snuke. Slight name change to that on the receipt. I will try and get a shot over the next few days and post. I will yell out for help if needed - I'm no technut .

I had time to ponder about it today, and its probably an ABS sensor thats gone haywire, and sent some corrupt data on the BUS, each computer went into fault mode as they didnt know what to do with the corrupt data.

Keep you posted.

Hope it gets sorted quickly for you. Keep us updated.

Re: the insurance quotes. Things change dramatically also if you register the vehicle as business use which ours is. The GST component is at least claimable back which is better than a poke in the face with a weta.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

I just realised Snuke - the price of $140 is $30 cheaper than I paid!!! The more distant shot shows them nicely though - they look as good in the flesh. Notice the 2013 models have the 'GRAND CHEROKEE' name ON the side strip - it looks much 'cooler' under the strip - stands out nicely.

Pretty hard to deny it now Snuke given that the Tonsberg is now in Brisbane and only a few days away from Sydney and Summits start rolling off as well as our cars.
