That one covers all dealerships

You need to breakdown the components price wise, to see exactly what they are charging you for each item.
agree, if its not a factory backed warranty and you have to go back to the same place all the time, its not worth a pinch of sh!t.. often these warranties dont cover all problems/components or they have an excess on them.
If its a FULL extended factory & transferable warranty etc etc its worth a look, helps with resale if transferable as the new owner can buy the car with piece of mind

If that's correct then I don't think it will change for the 2014 models.

Milous,
If you look at Jeep Australia's website, you can see all the specs on the MY13.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Thanks Robo and Ally,

Currently trying to do the deal through the dealer close to work so having to get my service done through them is not an issue. Definitely would prefer a manufacturer warranty though.

Guess it's been awhile since I have checked out the Jeep AU page, your selections/options are far more limited that I realized.

Yes, I have QL optioned on my MY12 Laredo, along with Quadradrive II.

I'm going to be really bummed if it isnt available on the MY14 when I go to replace in a years time. I want the off road capability rather than paying for things like leather. If I have to go to a Limited, it gets fairly close in cost to a Disco...

I have ordered a 2014 SRT and at the time, they first offered the Allianz extension of manufacturers warranty. This is an excellent product, although the dealer markup is massive. For example, on my current car (BMW but same policy) I was quoted over $5k for 3 years extension. I ended up buying the exact same policy from a broker for well under $3k. This policy simply extends the terms of the manufacturers warranty.

As it turns out this policy is not available for the SRT. This leaves you with the manufacturers own warranty product. This is a big problem as it is NOT transferrable to the next owner. So unless you will keep the car for a long time, it is rather useless. Apparently, if you sell before the policy expires, the manufacturer will credit the balance towards a new extended warranty.

Be sure to do your own research into the T&C before committing. Start with the PDS and don't be afraid to ask questions.

The fixed price servicing sounds ok, as long as you are comfortable that you will use the same dealer for 3 years (i.e. they don't piss you off in that time) but it would lose its value if you are paying luxury car tax on the amount.

Window tinting on the 2 front door windows should be cheap enough from a reputable company - undoubtedly cheaper than from the dealer.

Good luck!

Read the small print... If it is what I have read, it doesn't include much other than the main driveline components... Ie trans and engine block. It doesn't include things like shocks, calipers, air con etc... I didn't think it was worth the money.
