Your UConnect panel, it's under Nav then Settings and select Speed Limit and input the limit you want it to pick up on, can be a little annoying at times but could save you a speeding fine, I have found that's it is very easy to go over the limit in this vehicle, but it does keep my passengers amused when she gives me a polite reminder.

There is also a line above the select speed line, to check if you want a voice prompt.

Note/ It only works if you have voice guidance alerts for GPS enabled.

Unfortunately if you disable the voice prompts for the NAV it also disables the Speed Limit alert ... which is kind of a shame considering that they are enabled seperately on different screens.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

MY14 LAREDO Rear Park Cameras.

Have just been advised by my Service Manager that the Laredo Cameras (Standard Original Equipment) delivery has now been pushed out to February NEXT YEAR. (2014 hopefully)

He stated problems with Fiat taking over in USA and supplier issues.

I was last told 4 weeks ago "should have them by December 2013."

Who can take confidence in a February 2014 delivery then??

He advised me priority is given to first deliveries, I said how about first orders then? I ordered mine in November 15 2012.

At least I have the bloody big red fire truck now anyway. Who needs a rear park camera when I have the tow ball tongue on it??

I always use the bump method when I rear park!!

Trust me Hymer, the rear camera is useless so your not missing out on much. But still that's beside the point. The fact is this whole situation is ridiculous.
I type this as I sit at my Jeep dealer whilst they do updates which should have been done before I picked up the car, updates that I was assured had been done.
One of the service plebs tried to give me some attitude because I didn't have an appointment, luckily the service manager intervened.
"I had an appointment last Friday when I picked up the car and I paid $1700 for it and I'm still waiting for you to complete it you gronk!"

Have you also noticed, changing the tire pressure from BARS to PSI changes the temperature from Celsius to Fahrenheit ?

Thanks
Ameet.

That is normal, you have changed the settings from Metric to Imperial.

So what are the cameras being fitted now. I was assured by my dealer that the camera fitted was supplied by Jeep. As others have said, the camera is almost useless - it is low quality and gives a very washed out image making it hard to see things clearly. And the one I have doesn't even have the fixed grid lines despite my dealer assuring me at the start that they had the dynamic grid lines.

I'm beginning to wish I got the Limited as most of my issues seem to be associated with dealer fitted items. Are the cameras in them any better though?

I thought so too, but for some reason I was confusing myself. LOL.

Thanks

The Reversing Camera in my LTD works flawlessly - especially with the dynamic grid lines.
