Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Summit is now on the Jeep Au website, it is $75,000 plus on roads, so $4,000 more than the Overland

New 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee - The Ultimate Search Engine

Compare Models - Grand Cherokee[/QUOTE]

Thanks Snuke, given that the Aussie Overland is updated in terms of specs compared to the US counterpart, apart from directional headlights, and upgraded stereo and different wheels, different foam in the seats and different leather, there is not much else so they are pretty close to one another so why have both in Australia now ?

I am sticking with my Overland which has arrived at the dealers and now doing pre delivery, you can't get the light frost in the Summit in any case.

Any more news or where your vehicle is at now Snuke ?

Don't tell Webber about the Summit, but I can't be any happier with my Overland.

That is a bit of a fish-bowl isn't it.

Actually, just looking at it again, that makes my eyes go funny. I don't think I could live with that Peanut.

That really is crook. Not even close to the quality of my MY12.

Take that bugger back and demand a genuine Jeep camera - same as on the Limited I'd say.

Peanut
This is my Dealer fitted rv camera on my Laredo. Everything about it is cap but the fish eye effect and the washed out cap resolution makes it useless.

Am so pissed but will not continue the frustration...now looking for a 3rd party alternative camera. Anyone got any Ideas?

Hope I can get to a plug or connector close to the camera. Anyone had a crack with a MY14 poking about in Tailgate?

I've got a set of pry tools on order, so when they get here I will pull the tailgate apart and then decide on which camera I will buy. The price of buying one is nothing compared to Jeep Oz Incompetency.

I'm with ya Peanut. Jeep Cheap Cheap! There's so much right bout the car, Jeeps attitude is a contravention of some declaration of Vehicle Rights. If it was a Daewoo or Lada....maybe but it's a frigging great car.

Some backroom Basket decided to save 20 bucks. Wtf. But I'm not wasting any more O2 on them.

Love to hear how it goes.

I told them to take their time, not to prioritise its prep in anyway.
Preferably sell my Pajero first.
I will take the brake controller across this weekend so it can be fitted at some point.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Not that I want to add to your frustration over the camera, but I took some pictures of the camera fitted to my MY12 Larado. The clarity is really good, even at night.

The camera is fitted with a nice moulded plastic cover that extends to include the number plate lamps - all one piece and clearly a Jeep genuine bit.

The camera gives a great view of the top of the towball.

You should all be demanding this genuine Jeep camera.
