Milous CRD PDF
What's more interesting are the 10,000 mile service intervals. Looks like they just changed miles for kms when they did the metric version of the service schedule. More money for the dealers ... Or we'll just have better maintained CRDs.

Sometimes over maintaining is creates a less reliable product then under maintauning it... Diesels need very regular oil changes though.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Hi all, first post but have been reading the various threads for over 12 months now in preparation for ordering a my14 gc. Big thanks to scottina, milous and the guys at the factory for all the great info

I ordered a MY14 CRD Laredo back in January with QL, leather, tow bar, front tow hook etc

Had a call from my dealer today with an 'E' number, apparently April production with July delivery. We shall see...

Now to post on the tracking thread so milous can see if the number is real

Cheers, Paul

Yeah was originally told Aug/sep by the dealer, but they really don't know, so we'll see what milous comes up with

PLEASE keep us up to date on that E number situation. I ordered Cherry Red / Beige leather Limited TODAY. Current Laredo just 9 months old, and love it.
Now the waiting..............

Hey 78,
this is big news. I had been told as recently as late last week that E numbers could not be issued until AFTER the car was released because Chrysler did not want customers tracking prior to the release date. It will be interesting to see if the number you have matches up with Milous' records. If July comes off that would be fantastic and we are now 9 days into April so hopefully Milous will report very soon that he has seen these CRD'S in ALL models coming down the line. Please post Milous' comments, and you are going to get Robo_70 very excited.

Man this thread moves quick...

My GC is fantasic on the sand - I had the temporary fix done (and now the permanent fix) and no problems at all. I replaced a 2002 Mits Challanger where you always needed to keep the revs up and keep the momentum going. The GC just needs a little trottle and the traction control does the rest.

Very happy.

We are all being told different stories by our dealers. Surely Jeep Au can put some truth to one sooner rather than later....
