Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Milous, if the Regional Manager said the Summit will not be coming in the foreseeable future could it mean they are going to continue with the Overland with Summit Options and introduce the Summit later in the MY14 year. Could that black one addressed to Melbourne be a "speccy" for Head Office to crawl over.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

member Rubiconicon also chimed in briefly with information along the same lines as the letter webber has from his dealer.

Has any one asked if they can order a Summit here in Australia?

its all very bizare and the facebook comments by various members have attracted no response either.

Rubiconicon - what else do you have for us or are you a dealer in disguise

Guys,

I keep saying this but no one seems to be listening... No one has ordered anything, to ask if anyone has ordered a Summit or an Overland is just not right, I.e. no matter what a sales guy has told you, you have not ordered anything. If you had ordered you would have a VON, the better question is has anyone ordered any MY14 and have a VON. The answer is no... Because order banks have not opened. You can speculate all you like, but all you have done is a tempory contract that will need to be re-nogatiated and re-signed. Oh, and paid the sales guys a deposit which I don't beleive they should have taken when they are not able to place a real order on your behalf. It's almost fraud on their part!!!

What about the adaptive headlamps and HK system, both Standard on the Summit, can you order those features? What were the interior color choices?

From what type of sources/info is your order being compiled with - on a dealer screen, printed materials, order guide, or?

listening but if true its very disappointing that these tricks are being played out on genuine customers prepared to spend $75K+ on a vehicle and if true the matter should probably be a raised here --http://www.consumer.vic.gov.au/

( if your reading dear Jeep ! )

Well let's take Pat from Fields as a good example, he seems very honest and he was very engaged with the main thread around the launch time in USA. He didn't have any order info or model options until the day or two before the sales launch date. How can any Aussie dealer have any official info when we don't even have a launch date for sales. I know a deal who is a friend of mine, have known him for 18 years. If he had info I would have it.

Well lets hope the SAles Launch date isn't kept until AFTER the Melbourne Car show in June. That means you wont see your car for 3 to 5 months after that.

Hey Mark,

I know what you mean. It's very frustrating, and also very dumb of Chrysler...

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Hi Milous, thanks so much for putting this thread up.

More than one dealer in Aus has told me that we are a small Jeep market and we get the left overs, good to see us getting some focus here.

The sooner Chrysler Jeep can establish an offical distribution here in AU the better!

Agreed, and it doesnt only apply to MY14 Overland or Summit, it also applies to the Laredo base model as well.
As I said in a previous response, my Order was printed out on the Chrysler etc computer which had only MY13 details on it. My Order for a MY14 was handwritten on the printout.
The dealer advised me when I approached them this year for MY14 upgrades said I couldnt because it was now in the hands of Head Office and they would process my Order (Outdated Order!!) when appropriate .
So, lets hope that Chrysler etc gets back to each and every OZ Order placed and ask clients what they REALLY WANT!!

My poor caravan sits in the driveway very forelorn fo the next 5 months. NO Tug. Thought about a towbar on the cooks Golf, might nearly handle it!!

Bluey
