Hello Paige.

I see you are a dealer. Great to see you here. At the risk of talking for other people, you might detect from this forum that there are a whole lot of passionate Aussie jeep owners here, often with a pocket full of cash, frustrated by CJD.

Is there any way we can engage with dealers in a more productive way? At the moment it seems that dealers and CJD have miss understood some of their owners and what they want in ongoing interaction.

I'd be thrilled to hear your thoughts - pm me if you like...

She wasnt senior, and was relatively new, cam from a Kia dealership I think.
She was however very good at following up.
I was interested in the current model and they had a great Ltd Diesel demo that was kitted up we thought about.
But I have decided to wait for 2014, and I told her to contact me as soon as she has some real info, and they way she followed me up in the past I expect she will as long as still works there.

I will shoot her an email now actually.

Edit: Seems she is gone.

Paige, well done on being the only Jeep dealer in the country willing to be involved in this forum, I'm sure there are loads of sales here if you play your cards right and are honest and have relevant info.. Lot of frustrated buyers here being fed shit by Jeep HQ. also people here walking away or close to walking away due to the antics of Jeep. We know many dealers are kept in the dark by HQ also and not clear on what that achieves.
Will be keen to hear your view on the local information that is available

July has been the local delivery date quoted to many of us who have CRD orders in since January or earlier.
Given there has been no confirmed AU RHD CRD builds ( or any CRD builds) in the factory yet it's worrying. Hopefully we will see some clarity on this by end of April or it would seem that July will slip.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Congratulations Paige on your new role. Hopefully, you can change the current trend of Castle Hill, and revert it back to the enthusiasum of when it opened the Jeep partnership.
I live locally to Castle Hill and I have experienced both the Sales and the Servicing teams.
Can't say I was impressed with either. The Sales guys were just sitting around, enjoying the sunshine, and were not too keen to remove themselves from the air conditioning to talk to a prospective customer. When I did eventually engage someone, they knew very little about the products they were attempting to sell.
As for the Servicing team, I am still waiting for a phonecall back regarding a warranty issue. Again, the service staff seemed to know nothing about the Jeep when asked questions, and showed little interest in listening to what I had to say. For example, when checking in for a service issue, within the space of just a couple of minutes, the attendant asked me several times what my rego number was. All this, even though he had all the information on his screen from the previous day when I made the booking. I showed him my build sheet, and he could not find the VIN. When I pointed out an issue with the DRL reflectors, I was told that was normal.
Anyway, I digress. If you are genuine, and up front with the members of this forum, I am sure you will bag sales.

Re dealers, I have been hassling my guy for weeks and weeks. He kept telling me that jeep au are keeping them in the dark. Then some info came through today and he called straight away. The waiting is painful but hopefully the tracking can start to help pass the time

Looks like CJD AU are now handing out E numbers. Just got mine for a '14 SRT, although tracking has no information on it yet, the dealer is trying to tell me it is locked in for production. Still seems a little murky as to how the process actually works, as well as pricing, but its a step forward.

Don't despair. If you have the E number, the car is definitely in the scheduling. You may see it as "Not Yet Scheduled" or "D1" when you first get it listed by Milous, and it may stay in that status for weeks. However, it will eventually roll down that assembly line.

So no delivery date I guess? At least it's a step forward after months of very little. Will see if I get my number, else I will be calling
