Built recently. Looks like quality depends on 'luck of draw', at 'mercy' of factory workers. Mine ordered back in July, still no words about ETA.

It wouldn't have even warmed up.
Economy overall will improve after 1000+km, but on short runs like that a petrol engine can be more efficient.

1, The QL tank fasteners are undone as with a few of the others; one of the screw that was holding the plastic cover is also stripped
2, Paint blemish on bonnet
3, The LHS windscreen drain (under the bonnet hinge) was not fitted properly
4, Fuel usage is not as good as I have hoped in heavy CBD traffic (21l/100km on my way home today, bumper to bumper for a 3km trip).
5, Uconnect version 13.31.2 (has since been updated to latest )

Apart from that the car drives very well and quite fuel efficient in normal condition (on average since Friday I am on 9.6 l/100)
Is yours granite crystal? I don't know if I'm seeing things but at times the paint looks blotchy. I've briefly looked at others and they look similar. I have noticed a light spot on the bonnet, but it could be a watermark.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

Regarding Fuel Economy ... Today I managed a trip of 28minutes at an average of 6.3Litres per 100K... my best so far ...car has done 2000K's ......aint bad.!

Admittedly that was a good fluid run with only about 3 sets of traffic lights.

Acceleration is the key....so the more stop starting the worse it gets.

Hi, the average is based on the type of driving (City Vs Hway) or Instant Economy reading, and the distance you travel, and then provides an average. Basically, the more Km's you do, the more realistic the L/km reading.

Speaking to another GC CRD owner, he said there was a marked notice in engine performance after approx. 2500km. I am at around 1300km so have not experienced as yet.

Also, by chance have you noticed the fit of the rear tailgate trim on the passenger side where the door closes. ie. the panel where the tailgate close button is and the bottom. Mine does not side flush. I had a closer look on the weekend and could not see why - looks like a design issue???tic

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

The rear light/tailgate alignment issue is very common.
For those that it drives crazy, there have been replacements.

I think I read somewhere in one of the US threads that it was a tail light issue not tail gate. Ours has the issue, im just not OCD enough to care. I just want to get it to Fraser and try it.

I think my description was unclear, but here is the photo. The issue I find is not so much the gap, but the movement at this point...
