Best to tint the rest of the car in a clear or very light film to get the same 99% UV protection (or there abouts) as what you'll be getting for the fronts with the darkest legal tint, otherwise it will be like having the air con on with the windows down .
Also you'll be protecting the interior in case the glass is broken as the tint film will hold the glass in tact instead of shattering inside in a million pieces.

Is the 3M Formula1 stuff a metallic film? I think it is. Again be aware that having metal film can reduce RF signals inside your car...for your mobile phone for example.
Thanks Zillajnr good ideas !

The factory deep tint sunscreen is impregnated in the glass with a dye to give it the dark privacy glass look, so there is no way to remove it. Just apply tint film over the top as per usual.

I got tinting done at Solartint, 35% light transmittance fronts (darkest legal tint) and nearly clear for rears (i think they were 95% light transmittance or something), all done in a ceramic film with lifetime warranty. The film block out 99% UV and around 63% heat. Their normal price was $385.
Sounds great can you share some pics please ?

Who doesn't like JUGS????

This was discussed many many many posts ago but nothing solid created.
A thread for the meet would be best for organisation.

I agree with snuke - create a new thread for jugs.

I would say that a meet up needs a reason, just a meet up without some draw card will be tough to arrange.

Maybe a trip to a 4x4 show, something that people would want to go to anyway...

My only thought after filling up trucks, is that with the high flow pumps, the tank can't breadth quick enough and the fuel would foam reducing the amount a fuel that could be placed in the tank.

1, The QL tank fasteners are undone as with a few of the others; one of the screw that was holding the plastic cover is also stripped
2, Paint blemish on bonnet
3, The LHS windscreen drain (under the bonnet hinge) was not fitted properly
4, Fuel usage is not as good as I have hoped in heavy CBD traffic (21l/100km on my way home today, bumper to bumper for a 3km trip).
5, Uconnect version 13.31.2 (has since been updated to latest )

Apart from that the car drives very well and quite fuel efficient in normal condition (on average since Friday I am on 9.6 l/100)
I wonder why the hell we are ALL paying for pre-delivery it is obvious that pre-delivery does not include checking for these and other items
Sounds like per-delivery is nothing more then a wash and remove the plastic covers.

So why are we all paying some $4,000 plus dollars on Pre-Delivery when it is obvious they are not doing it.

We are paying it because we have to. Its part of the cost of purchasing a vehicle. How much you pay on the other hand is upto the individual. I didnt pay anywhere near $4k. Never have on any of our cars.

$4,000 on Pre Delivery?????

Only paid $1900 here in Melbourne.

I see that in USA they pay our equivalent of $800.

Re: 2014 Grand Cherokee information - Australia

It would be interesting to find out how many hours they spend on a pre-delivery, then pro rata that on an hourly rate.
